On Labor Day, it is a good time to check out the Sun Devil athletic department employees who also have earned their ASU degrees.

Some have one degree. Some have two. Some have graduate degrees. Then there is ticket office guru Tyson Roberts, who has four degrees!

You can find a list of all of them here. We also just hired a Sun Devil alum as our new diving coach after hiring Willie Bloomquist as our baseball coach in June. And can you name the three other Arizona State head coaches who earned their Sun Devil degrees? Click here for those.

We take a quick look at three Sun Devil graduates working in Sun Devil Athlerics below. Football Sun Devil Kevin Miniefield earned a sociology degree. Swim coach Herbie Behm was a psychology major while Krista Banke majored in business management at ASU. Below that is a list (and linked as well) of all the current athletic department employees who have earned Sun Devil degrees.

HOW DID YOU END UP WITH SUN DEVIL ATHLETICS?
KEVIN MINIEFIELD: "After playing in the NFL and running my own business, Coach Don Bocchi presented me with an opportunity to come back to ASU for the purpose of enhancing our former student-athlete relationships.

COACH BEHM: "I began coaching at the high school level when I was a student at ASU. I always wanted to coach collegiately at the highest level possible. When a position became available to work with Bob Bowman and coach ASU it was literally a dream come true."

KRISTA BANKE: "I had other off-campus jobs but made my way back to Sun Devil Athletics after being gone for close to a year after finishing my masters."

WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT YOUR CURRENT ROLE?
KEVIN MINIEFIELD: "I really enjoy forming relationships with so many men and women that have shaped the history of our athletics program. Many of these individuals were just names to me prior to being in my current role, and now I'm able to call these individuals good friends."

COACH BEHM: "I love seeing how far the team has come since I was a member. The current team members don't believe how much faster the team is since I was on it."

KRISTA BANKE: "It's never the same day twice!"

A GREAT MEMORY FROM YOUR DAYS
KEVIN MINIEFIELD: "I have a lot of fun memories of spending time with teammates and classmates at places like Flakey Jakes, BG Einstein's and Club Rio."

COACH BEHM: One of my roommates at ASU was a swimmer I met at my first swim camp as a nine-year old.  It was very cool to begin and end my swimming career side-by-side with a lifelong friend."

KRISTA BANKE: "I was a member of the Student Alumni Association so painting the "A" gold was something we did often.  I also slept out on "A" Mountain prior to the Arizona game one year to guard against a paint assault from down south."

A SUN DEVIL QUICK FACT ABOUT YOURSELF
KEVIN MINIEFIELD: "Being a native Phoenician it was fun to have played football in the state of Arizona at all levels. Youth (Southwinds), high school (Camelback), college (ASU) and professional (Arizona Cardinals).

COACH BEHM: "My first time on ASU's campus was a swim meet at Mona Plummer Aquatic Center when I was 11 years old.  It was 121 degrees that day and we had to leave the meet and take my mom to the hospital where she was treated for heat exhaustion."

KRISTA BANKE: I decided to come to ASU based on the sunny weather.

Over the last 30-plus years #SunDevil4Life Rich Wenner has played a major role in helping hundreds of Sun Devils (including scores of WBB players) become elite performers. Help us congratulate Rich on being an inaugural AZ Strength-Athlete HOF inductee! https://t.co/hhtoa52X3c
