All-American status is awarded based on the top performers at the NCAA National Championships. The First Team consists of the top four finishers, including any ties, on each event and in the all-around from each session. The second team consists of those finishing fifth through eighth in each session.
Gymnastics also recognizes regular-season All-America honors, which are based on the NQS rankings following the conclusion of the conference championships. These honors are determined in a similar manner to the postseason awards: the top four finishers, including ties, on each event and in the all-around are selected for the First Team, while the fifth through eighth-place finishers are named to the second team.
