Kate Janczewski

TitleSenior Associate AD, Digital Media & Communications

Kate Janczewski joined Sun Devil Athletics in July 2012 and currently serves as a Senior Associate Athletics Director. Janczewski helps oversee the strategic communications department along with all athletics digital platforms and corporate communications including feature articles, websites, social media, email marketing, video production and Pac-12 Networks initiatives.

Janczewski has managed and organized all web-based content for Sun Devil Athletics since her arrival, including the department’s official athletics website thesundevils.com, 22 Fan Sites, a Compliance website and a Sun Devil Marching Band website. Janczewski also serves as the athletics representative on the campus-wide ASU Digital Strategy Board and operates as the Pac-12 Networks Liaison. Janczewski also serves on W.P. Carey's ASU Sports Business Advisory Board and Mentor Program.

Under her leadership, the Sun Devil Athletics social media brand has elevated to new heights making the main athletics Facebook and Instagram page rank 10th in the Power Five in total interactions (2nd in the Pac-12 on Facebook and 3rd in the Pac-12 on Instagram). She has fostered and managed several successful relationships and projects for Sun Devil Athletics including the Pac-12 Fan Engagement Project. Janczewski is also responsible for managing the athletics department’s relationship with the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication’s live production program, which is responsible for live streaming for over 130 home events each year. 

Before her time with SDA, Janczewski held positions in corporate America and professional sports. From 2010-2012, Janczewski worked for Circle K Worldwide Franchise, where she managed external and internal web-based content for the Circle K and On the Run franchise brands nationally and internationally. From 2003 through 2009, she held two different roles for the Arizona Cardinals Football Club. She started as a Broadcast Assistant, producing video content for a weekly magazine television show and in-game video-board presentation before moving into the role of Website Coordinator in 2005 where she was responsible for web content management on azcardinals.com.  During her tenure with the Cardinals she also worked three Super Bowls (XXVIII, XXIV, and XLII) for the NFL’s Public Relations Staff and Super Bowl Media Center.  

Janczewski has a BA degree in Broadcast Journalism and a minor in communications from Arizona State University.
