Career Overview: 

Broke the 38-year-old school record in the high jump when he cleared 2.30m (7-6.50) at the Duel In The Desert, and his performance with additional PRs in the long jump and high jump earned him Pac-12 Field Athlete of the Week Honors (May 4).

  • Placed first in the high jump at the 2015 Pac-12 Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
  • Named MPSF Men's Athlete of the Meet, following the 2015 MPSF Track & Field Championships on Feb. 27-28.
  • Matched his personal best in the high jump with a 2.28m (7-5.75) at the 2014 USATF Outdoor Championships.

  • Finished first in the high jump at the NCAA Championships with a career best 2.28m (7-5.75), which is good for second in school history and is ASU’s first champion in the high jump since Kyle Arney won the event in 1977. 

  • His mark of 2.26m (7-05) set him in a tie for first place on the ASU all-time indoor record list with Kyle Arney who cleared the mark in 1979.

  • Set personal indoor records three times in 2012 and has improved by just under five inches from his best leap as a freshman.

  • Ranked third in the nation in the 2012 season and earned his first All-America award with a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Championships.

2015 Outdoor:

  • Finished first in the high jump at the Pac-12 Championships; placed fourth in both the long jump and triple jump with personal bests of 7.64m (25-0.75) and 15.66m (51-4.50), respectively.
  • Set the new school record for the high jump at the Duel In The Desert (5/2), clearing 2.30m (7-6.50).
  • Placed second at the 106th Drake Relays (4/24) with 2.29m (7-6.00) in the high jump.

  • Placed first in the long jump with 7.79m (25-6.25) at the MPSF Indoor Championships (2/27), ranking fifth in school history.

2014 Outdoor: 

  • Matched his personal best in the high jump with a 2.28m (7-5.75) at the USATF Outdoor Championships.

  • Finished first in the high jump at the NCAA Championships with a career best 2.28m (7-5.75), which is good for second in school history and is ASU’s first champion in the high jump since Kyle Arney won the event in 1977. 

  • Placed second in the high jump at the Pac-12 Championships (2.22m; 7-3.25).

  • Placed third in the long jump at the Baldy Castillo Invitational with a personal best 7.38m (24-2.50).

  • Placed first in the high jump at the Sun Angel Classic (2.20m; 7-2.50).

2014 Indoor:

2013 Outdoor: 

  • Did not compete in the Outdoor Season.

2013 Indoor:

  • Finished ninth at the NCAA Division 1 Indoor Championships in the High Jump with a mark of 2.23m (7-03.75).

  • Finished first at the UW Final Qualifier in the high jump with a mark of 2.21m (7-03).

  • Placed Top Ten in both the High Jump and Long Jump at the MPSF Track and Field Championships including capturing a personal best mark of 7.35m (24-01.5).

  • Four Top Ten finishes on the season in the High Jump.

2012 Outdoor: 

  • Advanced to the NCAA Division I Championship finals where his mark of 2.20m (7-02.50) earned him a twelfth place finish overall and put him in a tie for seventh on the ASU outdoor all-time best list.

  • Competed in the high jump, long jump and triple jump at the Pac-12 Championships placing fourth in the high, ninth in the long and fourteenth in the triple.

  • Set a career best mark in the triple jump at the 33rd Sun Angel Classic with a fourth place finish mark of 15.38m (50-05.50).

2012 Indoor: 

  • Earned his first All-American honors.

  • Cleared 2.20m (7-02.50) at the NCAA Division I Indoor Champions finishing in sixth place.

  • His career best mark of 2.26m (7-05) cleared at the New Mexico Don Kirby Elite Invitational ranks him in a tie for first on ASU's all-time indoor best list with Kyle Arney who set the record in 1979.

  • Placed first in the high jump with a mark of 2.23m (7-03.75) and second in the long jump setting a career best mark of 7.23m (23-08.75) at the Iowa State Qualifier.

  • Competed in three events at the MPSF Indoor Championships (High, Long and triple jump), finishing top eight in all three.

2011 Outdoor: 

  • Finished third in the high jump at the PAC-10 Championships with a career best jump of 7-01.5 (2.17m).

  • Placed second in the long jump and third in the high jump at the 2011 Double Dual (ASU-UA-NAU).

  • Competed at the 2011 Sun Devil Open to win both the high jump and long jump with a career best long jump of 23-08-25 (7.22m).

  • Won the high jump at the 53rd Annual Mt. SAC Relays and the 32nd Sun Angel Track Classic.

  • Competed at the 2011 Arizona State Invitational and the 2011 Baldy Castillo Invitational to place second in the high jump.

2011 Indoor: 

  • Competed and placed at the MPSF Indoor Track & Field Championships for high jump.

  • Seized first place at the Lumberjack Invitational in the high jump and also placed in the triple jump.

  • Placed fourth at the Texas A&M Challenge in the high jump.

  • Competed in the high jump at the New Mexico Collegiate Classic & Combined to take third.

  • Competed at the New Mexico Collegiate Invitational, taking second place in the high jump.

High School: 

  • A 2010 graduate of Sandra Day O'Connor High School (Phoenix).

  • Lettered in track and field four times; Captained the team twice.
  • Cleared 7-feet in the high jump to set the school record.

  • Two-time state high jump champion, winning with clearances of 6-10.00 as a senior and 6-08.00 as a junior.
