TEMPE, Ariz. – One last regular season meet remains for the No. 1/NR Sun Devils, who will host in-state rival and No. 19/NR Arizona on Saturday, February 4 (1 p.m. MST) at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.

The Sun Devils will recognize and celebrate 13 seniors as part of the team's Senior Day with a pre-meet ceremony that is scheduled to begin at 12:35 p.m.

Live results will be shared and published via the Meet Mobile app prior to the start of competition.

SUN DEVIL NOTABLES

  • The senior class that will be celebrated on Saturday is among the most impactful classes in team history. It's a group that, along with ushering the Sun Devils into the national spotlight, consists of Pac-12 Champions, NCAA finalists, school record-holders and more. The thirteen seniors are Jane Brown, Alex Colson, Jack Dolan, Jadé Foelske, Natalia Fryckowska, Andrew Gray, John Heaphy, Julian Hill, Lindsay Looney, Katrina Marty, Max McCusker, Savannah Mitchell and Audrey Reimer.
  • The Sun Devils are fresh off an electrifying weekend at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center, in which they swetp No. 2/11 Cal and split with No. 3/12 Stanford on consecutive days.
  • In the win against the Golden Bears, sophomore Léon Marchand broke the NCAA record in the 400 IM with his time of 3:31.84.
  • Sophomore Iza Adame is a perfect 6-for-6 in individual events in the Sun Devils' last three dual meets, sweeping both the 100 breast and 200 breast in each contest.
  • Devil of a debut: In his first ever meet as a Sun Devil, newcomer Zalan Sarkany set a school record in the 1000 free on January 20, breaking a record held by Scott Brackett from 1984. The following day, he broke his own school record. Sarkany is 4-for-4 in individual events to begin his collegiate career.
  • The Sun Devil Women have been powered by a young core that only strengthens by the day. Ieva Maluka, Charli Brown, Iza Adame, Katherine Randall and Emma Gehlert – all underclassmen – had their fingerprints all over the team's win over No. 11 Cal on January 21.

ABOUT THE WILDCATS

  • Arizona is led by head coach Augie Busch, who is in his sixth season at the helm in Tucson.
  • The Wildcat Men are nationally ranked by the CSCAA, checking in the January polls at No. 19.
  • Both Wildcat squads were swept by Cal and Stanford in their last dual meets (January 20-21).
  • Delaney Schnell, one of the best in Wildcat program history, was recently named the Pac-12 Diver of the Week. Schnell is a 2020 Tokyo Olympics silver medalist in 10-Meter Synchronized Platform and a 2022 FINA World Championships silver medalist in 10-Meter Synchronized Platform.
  • At the Pac-12 Championships last season, both Wildcat squads placed fifth in the team standings.

LAST TIME OUT

  • When these two teams last met on February 5, 2022, a thrilling contest ensued. The No. 6 Men's team smacked No. 20 Arizona, 195-103, and it took the final swimming event of the afternoon to decide the Sun Devil Women team's 155-139 loss to the No. 23 Wildcats. Had it not been for the diving portion of the meet, in which the Wildcats collected all 32 points, the Sun Devils would've pulled off the clean sweep.
