- Competed in the NCAA West Preliminary clearing a height of 16'-4''
- Recorded a seventh-place at the Pac-12 Finals clearing a height of 16' 2.75''
- Won the pole vault at the Bryan Clay Invite clearing 16' 1.25''
- Placed in fifth at the Pac-12 vs. Big 10 Invite clearing a height of 16' 1.75''
- Cleared a personal-best 5.20m (17' 0.75'') en route to a sixth-place finish at the Sun Angel Classic
- Recorded three top-5 finishes in the pole vault
University of Albany (Outdoor):
- Competed in the 200m and pole vault at the Spring Break Classic to open the outdoor season, marking the only time he wouldn’t exclusively compete in the pole vault.
- Placed second at the Bobcat Invitational clearing a height of 15’-11.75”.
- Won the pole vault at both the Upstate Classic, clearing 15’-3”, and the UAlbany Spring Classic, clearing 16’-6.75”.
- Placed third in the College section of the pole vault at the Penn Relays, clearing a height of 15’-7”. He cleared 15’-9” to win the Capital District Classic.
- Won the pole vault at the America East Outdoor Championships with a new personal best of 16’-8.75”, leading a UAlbany sweep of the top two places in the event.
- Won the Men’s Rookie Award for the conference championship meet.
University of Albany (Indoor):
- Placed second in the pole vault at the Penn State Indoor Relays, clearing a height of 16’-0.75”.
- Took third at the Columbia Invitational, clearing 15’-1”.
- Placed second at the America East Indoor Championships with a season best mark of 16’-2.75” to help complete a UAlbany sweep of the top two places in the pole vault.
- Hiett matched his season best mark at IC4A Championships, where he placed 12th.
High School:
- Three-year letter-winner in track and field, wrestling, and diving at Basha High School in Chandler, Arizona.
- Captain of his diving team as a junior and a senior.
- Named diving team MVP in 2010, 2011, and 2012, and track team MVP in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
- Named Most Improved in track and was a member of the 50-point, 100-point, and High Point clubs.
- Named Most Improved in wrestling in 2009 and 2012, and was a recipient of the Eddie Basha award.
Personal: Hiett is majoring in Exercise and Wellness.. He is the son of Neal and Kelly Hiett... He has a brother, Seth and a sister, Peyton... Was a 3X American east pole vault champion at University of Albany and a 2X regional qualifier..
