- Took 14th in the mile with a 4:42.52 at the Desert Heat Classic.

- Finished ninth in the 3,000-meter run at the Puma Invitational for his only result of the season.
2017 Cross Country: Did not compete
2017 Indoor:
- Ran in just the NAU Tune-Up, his first track and field competition of his collegiate career, where he clocked a 4:44.02 in the mile event
2016 Indoor/Outdoor:
- Redshirted his freshman track & field season
High School:
- A 2015 graduate of Wyomissing Area High School (Wyomissing, Pa.).
- 7-time PIAA State medalist (1 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze).
- District 3-AA champion in the 1600.
- Four-year cross country letter-winner as well as a three-year letter-winner in both outdoor and indoor track & field.
- Two year captain in all three sports.
- Member of the 4x8 state title team.
Personal:
- Majoring in Business Communications...Parents are Bryan and Nicole Shinn...Has two brothers named Justin and Blake...Favorite hobby is golf.
