2019 Outdoor:
- Made the transition to decathlete and finished just outside of scoring position at the Pac-12 Championships
- Scored a personal best 5,987 points in the dec at the Pac-12 Championships
- Set personal bests in all 10 events with a bulk of them coming at the conference meet
- Stuck to his roots by competing in the open long jump during the entire season
2019 Indoor:
- Finished 13th in his first conference meet as a multi-athlete
- Laced up for four regular season events, including all four of NAU's home meets
2018 Outdoor:
- Set an outdoor PR of 6.55m/21-6 feet at the Pac-12+/Big Ten Challenge.
- Competed in three meets for the Sun Devils, including the Baldy Castillo Invitational, Pac-12+/Big Ten and Desert Heat Challenges.
2018 Indoor:
- Finished 21st at his first MPSF Championship in the long jump.
- Set a personal best in the long jump at the Texas Tech Shootout of 6.58m/21-7.25 feet.
High School:
- Finished sixth in the long jump at the CIF Championships in 2016.
- Member of the Cathedral Catholic team that won the CIF San Diego section in 2016.
- Set the Cathedral Catholic long jump record
Personal: Gregory Fernandez will study business administration while at ASU… He was born to Gus and Jennifer Fernandez on Sept. 23, 1998… He has a younger brother named Kevin.
