- Finished second in the LSU Battle of the Bayou 4x1 (39.69) and 4x4 (3:06.80).
- Finished second in the Pac-12 Track & Field Championships 4x4 (3:08.06).
- Competed in the NCAA Division I West Preliminary Round (4x4 and 4x1) and NCAA Division I National Championships (4x1).
High School:
- Was a nine-time state champion, eight of which were individual crowns, at Deer Valley High School in Glendale, Ariz.
- In the Great Southwest Classic in Albuquerque, N.M., he posted a career best 10.26 in the 100m and a 21.17 in the 200m and his time in the 100m advanced him to the adidas Dream 100 at the adidas Grand Prix this past summer.
- Clocked a career-best of 20.74 in the 200m at the 2012 Arizona State Championships, the third-quickest 200m time in Arizona prep history.
- Also won the state title as a senior at 400 meters.
Personal: Son of Jimmy Armstrong Sr. and Adija Taylor … has nine siblings: Amyer Armstrong, Jamaul Armstrong, Brandyn Thomas, Jimmy Armstrong Jr., Jaron Armstrong, Bobby Calvin, Raheem Calvin, Sharina Atmstrong and Trina Armstrong… brother Jamaul plays football at Rockford College … majoring in communications.
