2017 Indoor:
- Hit a new personal best and the 4th-best mark on the ASU indoor all-time list with a clearance of 5.32m at the MPSF Championships, which placed him 3rd
- Consistently cleared over 5 meters in each event this season
- During his first meet as a Sun Devil, Starkey place second overall with a 5.18m mark at the 2017 Aggie Invitational
2016 Indoor (Stanford)
- Consistent indoor season with three personal bests in five meets.
- Season culminated with a PB 17-3 3/4 for third at the MPSF Championships.
- Mark at MPSF Championships put him 4th on the Stanford all-time list
2015 Outdoor (Stanford)
- Won the Big Meet with a personal best 17-3, which ranks 5th all-time at Stanford
- Advanced to the NCAA West Prelims, finishing 32nd at 16-0 3/4.
- Eighth at Pac-12's at 16-2 3/4.
2015 Indoor (Stanford)
- Jumped a personal record of 17-2 3/4 in first meet in two years, placing third at the UW Indoor Preview.
- Competed in three meets, reaching at least 17-0 each time.
- Placed sixth at the MPSF Championships.
2014 Indoor/Outdoor (Stanford)
- Did not compete.
2013 Outdoor (Stanford)
- Jumped season best 16-1 to place ninth at the Pac-12 Championships.
- Placed second in the Big Meet at 15-8 1/4.
- Vaulted in six meets.
- Ran the 4x100 at the Big Meet (43.67).
2013 Indoor (Stanford)
- Placed seventh at the MPSF Championships at a season-best 16-4, placing at No. 5 on Stanford's all-time freshman list.
- Made his collegiate debut at the Cherry & Silver Invitational in Albuquerque, clearing 15-9.
- Competed in five meets.
High School:
- Two-time Arizona state champ.
- Set personal record 17-0 while winning the Chandler City Meet.
- Won Arizona state Division I titles in 2011 and 2012, the latter at 16-6.
- Won the 2011 Arizona Meet of Champions and was second in 2012, at 16-5.
- Placed seventh at 2012 U.S. junior championships.
- Set a state junior-class record of 16-1 1/4.
Personal:
- Majoring in human biology.
- Son of Dean Starkey.
- Father won the bronze medal at the 1997 World Championships in the pole vault, and had a best of 19-5.
- He also coached pole vault at Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo.
- Stepmother is the former Jill Wittenwyler, who competed in the 2000 Olympic trials in the pole vault, and had a best of 14-1.25
- She coached multi-events at South Dakota State.
- Parents run the Arizona Pole Vault Academy on their Queen Creek property.
- Has two younger sisters, Taylor and Tyra.
