Courtney Leffel Season 2019

2019 Indoor Season (Senior):

• Finished her career in sixth place for career digs at ASU with 1,527.
• Was the lone Sun Devil to play in every set in 2019.
• Led the team in digs with 566, good for eighth place for total digs in a single season at ASU.
• Had 15 matches with 20 or more digs in 2019, totaling less than 10 in just three matches.
• Registered 22 digs in the win at Arizona.
• Her 20 digs against USC allowed her to move into the top 10 for total digs in a single season. 
• Led the match against Washington with 16 digs. 
• Earned 19 digs against WSU during her senior night.
• Named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week (11/18).
• After earning 27 digs against Oregon, Leffel moved into sixth place in career digs at ASU.
• Logged 20 digs in the five set loss to ranked Utah. 
• Team-high 18 digs in the 3-2 victory over Oregon.
• Recorded 23 digs and one ace in the five set thriller against Washington State. 
• Match-high 26 digs against Washington.
• Registered a streak of 14 consecutive matches with double-digit digs. 
• Named to the Flo Hyman Collegiate Cup and Fleur De Lis All-Tournament Teams. 
• Named the Pac-12 Defensive Player of the Week (9/2).
• Had a career-high 39 digs in the win over LSU. That total was the 9th-most all-time at ASU, 7th-most in the rally-scoring era. 
• In the match against LSU, surpassed 1,000 career digs, the 20th Sun Devil to do so.

2018 Indoor Season (Junior):

• 2018 Pac-12 All-Academic Honorable Mention
• The only player on the roster to play in all 113 sets this season.
• Led the team in digs with 506 digs, which was sixth-best in the Pac-12.
• Had 16 aces, the fourth-best team total.
• Had a career-best streak of 11-consecutive matches with double-digit digs. There were only four matches this season where she had less than 10 digs.
• In nine matches, she had 20-plus digs.
• Had three aces in the win against No. 15 Washington. 
• Had a career-high 28 digs against NAU.
• Notched two aces against Gonzaga.
• Named to three all-tournament teams: Sun Devil Classic, Puerto Rico Clasico, UNIWYO Invite.

2017 Indoor Season (Sophomore):

• Played in 112 total sets and all 32 matches in the 2017 season.
• Had a career high 259 total digs in 2017.
• Posted a career high 16 digs twice, against Nevada on Sept. 1 and against Oregon State on Oct. 20.
• Had 12 matches with double-digit digs.

2016 Indoor Season (Freshman):

• Played in all 32 of ASU's 2016 matches.
• Played in 116 of the 120 total sets of the Sun Devils' 2016 campaign, the third most on the team.
• Recorded 196 digs during the 2016 season, the second most for the Sun Devils.
• Career high 14 digs, recorded two times this season against Oregon on Sept. 30 and Colorado on Nov. 23.
• Produced 10 service aces on the season.

Before ASU:

• Played as an outside hitter for Flagstaff HS.
• Named MVP of the Coconino Classic for three consecutive years (2013-15)
• Named 2014 Player of the Year by the Arizona Daily Sun
• On Nov. 11, 2012, Leffel was named the Max Preps/AVCA Arizona Player of the Week
• Throughout her high school career she recorded 1,803 kills, 1,777 digs, and 156 total blocks.

Personal:
The daughter of Pam and Jeff Leffel, she has one sister, Hailey, who played volleyball at Chandler Gilbert Community College. Courtney intends to pursue a degree in Exploratory Health and Life Sciences.
