ATLANTA – Sun Devil Men’s Swimming finished fourth at the 2026 NCAA Swim and Dive Championships on Saturday night at McAuley Aquatic Center in Atlanta. The men secured two more national titles, winning the 400 free relay (2:42.38) and junior Ilya Kharun winning the 200 fly (1:37.66).
The team finishes inside the top five for the third time in the last five years, bringing home five national titles during the week. The Sun Devils won four out of the five relays.
Senior Jonny Kulow brought home the win with a 40.07, 100 free anchor leg for the team. Kharun swam a 40.29, 100 free leg to pass Texas during the relay. Graduate Remi Fabiani ended his week with a strong 40.85 100 free leg to keep the team in second. Graduate Adam Chaney opened the race with a 41.17 leg.

Kharun earned his second individual national title in the 200 fly with a time of 1:37.66. In his freshman season, he won the title in 1:38.26. Kharun joins Sun Devil olympian Leon Marchand as the only men's Sun Devil swimmers to win multiple individual national championships.

In the 100 free, Kulow broke his own Big 12 record and finished fifth in 40.76 to obtain his 22nd All-American honor as a Sun Devil. Fabiani placed ninth (41.23) to earn Second Team All-American honors to finish the season.
The final day of competition will feature the 200 IM, 100 free, 200 fly, 200 back in tomorrow’s preliminary swims starting at 7 a.m. MST and finals starting at 3 p.m. MST. The championships can be streamed on ESPN+. Only the top eight in preliminary swims will have the opportunity to swim in the evening finals session. All relay swims are timed finals.
