The first round will consist of two teams in a play-in meet, second round will consist of eight teams in two sessions and the regional final will consist of four teams. The top two teams, the top all-around competitors and the top event specialist on each event (who are not on an advancing team) from each regional will receive an automatic berth to the national championships from April 17-19 in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Sun Devils continued a streak of not having a losing record since 2017.

The steady force for Sun Devil Gymnastics this season has been senior Kimberly Smith. She earned spots on the 2026 All-Big 12 Teams for the all-around and bars, her second year in a row on the all-around team. She leads the team in event titles with 15 and has won six all-around titles. Her consistency has shown as she only has three scores under 9.700 this season. On floor this year, she has four scores of 9.900 or better, including the last two in a row. On bars, she also has a 9.900 this year.

Newcomers have been key for the Gym Devils this season. Junior transfer Reese Grolla made an immediate impact on bars and beam, including two scores of 9.900 or better.
