GREENSBORO, N.C. – No. 2/17 Sun Devil Swim and Dive collected five individual titles and won two relays on day three of the Big 12 Swim and Dive Championships at Greensboro Aquatic Center Thursday Night. The Arizona State men’s 400 medley relay team set the Big 12 record with a winning time of 2:57.48.

The Sun Devil women’s team extended its lead after day three, scoring 930.5 points and holding an 270 point advantage over Arizona. The Sun Devil men’s team is in first and has an 164 lead over Arizona, scoring 1,032.5 points through three days of compeition.

Junior Ilya Kharun won his third straight conference title in the 100 fly, setting the meet record in a swift 43.77 winning-time. Junior Filip Senc-Samardzic earned the bronze medal at 44.95 and graduate Jordan Tiffany was fourth at 45.61.

In the men’s 200 free, graduate Remi Fabiani set the team’s second meet record of the night by winning the race in 1:31.24, picking up ASU’s fifth individual title of the night.

Sophomore Julia Ullmann defended her Big 12 title in the 100 fly, touching the wall first in 51.97. Junior Miriam Sheehan was runner-up in the final with a 52.48. Freshman Alexia Sotomayor won the B final with a personal best-time at 53.24.

In the women’s 200 free, freshman Albane Cachot collected another victory for ASU by touching the wall in 1:44.58. Junior Grace Lindberg collected the bronze medal with a 1:45.35. 

In the women’s 400 IM, junior Alexa Reyna swam the fourth-fastest time in program history, touching the wall in 4:09.22  to secure the title. After winning the 200 IM last night, Junior Sonia Vaishnani was second in the 400 IM in 4:10.52.

Sophomore Michael Hochwalt swam and NCAA-qualifying time of 3:40.02, setting a personal best in the event to win the consoluation final. Junior Reece Grady placed second to earn the silver medal at 3:44.55, setting a personal best.

In diving, junior Kayden Hayes placed sixth in the 3m consolation final scoring 245.90 points, while senior Lane Stallworth was eighth with 239.50 points on 1m diving.

Tomorrow’s preliminary swims begin with the 200 fly, 100 breast and the 100 back, along with the men’s platform diving  taking place at 9:30 a.m. on ESPN+
