Morgantown, WV. – Cohlton Schultz recorded a milestone pin while both Richard Figueroa and Pierson Manville stayed hot in the Sun Devils' season finale loss to No. 24 West Virginia, 24-13, on Sunday.
Schultz capped the dual with a pin-fall win against WVU's Wilson Spires in 2:35 to earn his seventh pin this season and the 36th of his career, tying him with Eric Larkin, Thom Ortiz and Anthony Valencia for fifth-most in team history.
Richard Figueroa, the No. 2 125-pounder in the country per FloWrestling and InterMat, kicked off the afternoon with a dominant 11-2 major decision win against No. 7 Jett Strickenberger. It's Figueroa's second top-10 win of the weekend after beating Lehigh's No. 10 Sheldon Seymour on Friday in Bethlehem. Strickenberger entered the afternoon on an eight-match winning streak, having beaten the last five ranked opponents he'd seen.
True freshman Pierson Manville added his second win of the weekend, beating Sam Hillegas, 5-1. Manville used a nifty reversal move and a takedown to bury Hillegas for his second collegiate victory.

Made for March
The Sun Devils routinely make their living in the postseason. After a hot finish to their regular season in the spring, they stormed into the Gill Coliseum and captured yet another Pac-12 Championship title at the conference's final championships. It marked the 24th conference title in team history, the sixth under Jones' guidance and the fourth in the past five seasons.
With eight qualifiers competing at the NCAA Championships, the Sun Devils saw four individuals reach the podium. Figueroa etched his name in Sun Devil history with a finals win against Iowa's Drake Ayala, slamming the door on an unbelievable run in Kansas City in which he went 5-0 and dethroned two top-three seeds.
The 2023-24 season marked the team's fourth consecutive top-seven finish at the national tournament, while also earning four All-Americans for the fourth straight year.
