Marchand cleared his previous record of 4:06.14, which he set exactly three weeks ago at the Pac-12 Championships, to pick up the sixth title of his career. He's now captured the 500 free, the 400 IM along with two titles each in the 200 breast and 200 IM.

They received big performances in the 200 IM from Owen McDonald (2nd/1:39.23), Hubert Kós (3rd/1:39.66) and David Schlicht (6th/1:40.17).
In the 50 free, Dolan broke the school record with a time of 18.59 to finish seventh overall. Right behind him was teammate Jonny Kulow who took eighth as he touched the wall at 18.77.

From the championship finals of each of these individual events, the Sun Devils combined for 86 points as the Sun Devils currently sit in first place after two of the four days of competition.

The Sun Devils teamed up for a third place finish in the 200 free relay by Dolan-Kharun-Peel-Kulow with a school record time of 1:13.95. This marked the fifth school record broken by the Sun Devils so far in Indianapolis.

In addition to Marchand pacing the 500 free, Zalan Sarkany and Daniel Matheson also competed in the event as Sarkany took fourth in the consolation final at 4:13.13, which was good for 12th overall. Matheson swam a time of 4:15.21 to place 15th overall.
Ilya Kharun took fourth in the consolation final of the 50 free at 19.04, good for 12th overall.
MORNING PRELIMS
Marchand was the top qualifier for the Sun Devils in the 500 free as he qualified for the championship swimming a time of 4:09.54.
Hubert Kós (2nd/1:40.40), David Schlicht (4th/1:40.82) and Owen McDonald (7th/1:41.24) each qualifed for the championship final of the 200 IM.
In the 50 free, Jack Dolan (6th/18.62) and Jonny Kulow (7th/18.64) qualified for the championship final.
Joining Marchand in a final of the 500 free were Sarkany (10th/4:11.38) and Matheson (16th/4:13.00).
Ilya Kharun (13th/18.94) joined Dolan and Kulow in a final for the 50 free.
Julian Hill took 21st in the 500 free, touching the wall at 4:14.73 and Cale Martter finished with a time of 1:43.14 in the 200 IM to finish 26th. Cam Peel finished 24th in the 50 free with a time of 19.16.
