TEMPE, Ariz.- One last regular season meet is on the calendar for No. 1/20 Sun Devil Swim and Dive as they will travel down south for a meet at in-state rival No. 21/NR Arizona on Saturday (12 p.m. AZT) at Hillenbrand Aquatic Center in Tucson.
 
Live results will be shared and published via the Meet Mobile app throughout the competition.
 
SUN DEVIL NOTABLES
  • The dive program is coming off competition this past week at the Air Force Invite in Colorado Springs. Three divers notched NCAA zone-qualifying scores at the invite including Lane Stallworth (1-meter), Zachory Lundgren (1-meter and platform) and Kayden Hayes (platform).
  • Swim last competed on January 20 at No. 2/5 California and on January 19 at No. 5/4 Stanford. The Sun Devil men tied with the Golden Bears while the Sun Devil women fell to Cal and the day before the Sun Devil men won at Stanford and the Sun Devil women fell to the Cardinal women.
  • In the Sun Devil men's win over Stanford, Léon Marchand swam an NCAA-leading time of 1:38.78 in the 200 IM. Marchand, who was named the Pac-12 Swimmer of the Week on January 23, has not lost an individual event all season.
  • Lindsay Looney has won the 200 butterfly in each dual meet she's competed in this season in addition to winning the event at the NC State Invite back in November. She has swept the butterfly events in three meets this season.
  • Freshman Ilya Kharun broke his school record in the 200 fly in the Sun Devil men's win at Stanford, swimming a 1:37.93. Kharun has won the 200 fly in each dual meet he has swam in this event.
  • Deniz Ertan has won the 1000 free six times this season and won the 1650 free at the NC State Invite in November. Her season-fastest time of 9:33.07 against USC ranks sixth in the nation and her time of 15:53.23 in the 1650 free is ranked fourth among Division I swimmers.
  • After his season debut against GCU on January 6, Zalan Sarkany has broken his school record in the 1000 free in each of the three meets he has competed in. For good measure, he also leads the nation with his time in the 1650 free (14:28.09).  
WILDCAT OUTLOOK
  • Arizona is led by head coach Augie Busch, who is in his seventh season leading the Wildcats.
  • The Wildcat men are ranked No. 21 in the January edition of the CSCAA poll.
  • Both Wildcats squads were swept in their most recent meets at Cal (Jan. 19) and Stanford (Jan. 20).
  • The Wildcat men finished fourth at the Pac-12 Championships last season, while the Wildcat women finished sixth.
  • Brooke Earley, a junior diver, was named the Pac-12 Diver of the Week for the Wildcats on January 23 after winning three of the four events she competed in at Stanford and Cal.
