TEMPE - Time to punch some tickets! Arizona State track and field is in Arkansas this week for four days of qualifying action at the NCAA West Regionals, hosted by Arkansas. Thirty Sun Devils qualified for the West Prelims that run Wednesday-Saturday. The top 12 times/marks and the best 12 relay teams at both the East and West Preliminary Rounds qualify for the NCAA Championships June 8-11 in Eugene, Oregon. ASU has 11 top-20 marks in the west region. All the action will stream via SEC Network+ and live results are available here.

Jamar Marshall Jr. (110H, 13.39) and Jorinde van Klinken (discus 212-5, shot 60-6.5) lead the region in their events, while defending discus and shot put champion Turner Washington is second in the shot and third in the discus. Freshman Ralford Mullings is third in the discus, and in the women's hammer Beatrice Llano and Shelby Moran sit fifth and eighth, respectively. Nationally, ASU has 11 top-10 marks, including van Klinken at the top of the discus board.
ASU qualified 11 out of last year's regional meet in College Station, Texas. Van Klinken, then-world leader in the discus, and Washington together broke the men's and women's discus facility records, and Washington took down the facility shot record too. The men's 4x1 group ran a 39.67 to qualify, while Llano and Moran qualified in the hammer, Alizee Minard and Carlan Naisant qualified in the javelin and Ian Schulz qualified in the discus.
The Sun Devils are coming off the Pac-12 Championships where they earned 10 medals, three of which were gold. Jamar Marshall Jr. ran a 13.39 to set a new program record in the 110H, and van Klinken swept in both the shot and discus.
