ATLANTA – The Sun Devils saved their best for last on the final day of competition at the NCAA Women's Swimming Championships, as Lindsay Looney set two school records in the 200 fly en route to a 10th-place finish on Saturday at the McAuley Aquatic Center.

Looney swam 1:54.04 in this morning's 200 fly prelims, breaking her own record (1:54.17) in a mid-January intrasquad. Just hours later, Looney rewrote the school's history books once again, dropping nearly a second in the final to secure a top-10 placing at 1:53.25

In just two seasons with the Sun Devils, Looney now owns the program's four fastest 200 fly times and eight of the top 10. All four of her top times have been set this season.

Emma Nordin, the program's highly-decorated redshirt senior, concluded her collegiate career on Saturday night with an appearance in the 1650 free. The Carmel, Indiana, native went 16:06.12 to place 16th overall.

Nordin will leave a terrific legacy behind in Tempe. She owns the program's top times in the 200 free, 500 free, 1000 free, 1650 free and the 400 & 800 free relays.

Jade Foelske was the third Sun Devil to compete on Saturday, as the Georgia native raced in the 200 fly prelims. Foelske went 1:54.96, now the sixth-fastest time in program history, but narrowly missed the cut.

The Virginia Cavaliers jumped out to a lead from Day 1 and never let go of it, winning convincingly over runner-up Texas.

UP NEXT
Though that'll do it for the 2021-22 Women's Swimming campaign, the Men's squad will now make the cross-country trip to the McAuley Aquatic Center to compete at NCAAs from March 23-26.
