So is winning three individual titles in three tournaments.
Earning medalist honors at a college tournament by five strokes doesn't happen often.
All three of those happened for Sun Devil men's golf in Dallas Tuesday afternoon, as Alex del Rey's 16-under 197 (67-64-66) led the way as the Sun Devils won their second straight tournament to start the year with a four-stroke win over host SMU. ASU shot 30-under 822 (279-268-275) which included the best final round to seal its sixth win in its past 10 tournaments.
How impressive was del Rey's win? Only one player (Justin Thompson of SMU at 11-under 202) was within five strokes of him, and third place was a full eight strokes back as teammate Camerson Sisk finished at 8-under 205 (71-65-69). He was a tournament-best 7-under on the par-4 holes and 8-under on the par-5 holes. He led the tournament with 19 birdies and had 30 pars and one eagle.
Add @sundevilmgolf to the short list of teams still undefeated this fall.

THREE SUN DEVILS IN ASIA: Three Sun Devils who were in ASU's lineup that won the Sept. 13-15 Maui Jim Intercollegiate weren't in Dallas for the Trinity Forest Invitational. Chun An Yu, Won Jun Lee and James Leow all will be competing in the Asia-Pacific Amateur at the Sheshan International Golf Club held in Shanghai, China. A field of 120 players from 41 Asia Pacific nations is expected to compete, which returns to China for the third time. The country hosted the inaugural Asia-Pacific Amateur Championship in 2009 at Mission Hills Golf Club in Shenzhen, followed by the 2013 edition at NanshanInternational Golf Club in LongkouCity, Shandong. The champion in Shanghai will earn an invitation to the 2020 Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club and a place in The 149th Open at Royal St. George's. The runner(s)-up will secure a position in The Open Qualifying Series.
Job well done, @sundevilmgolf. Victory is sweet. #Excellence #GoDevils https://t.co/byDJvBscEd

ABOUT TRINITY FOREST: Trinity Forest Golf Club resembles many of the great old courses of the Northeast and Great Britain, featuring a links style course on a rolling meadow with tall native grasses and dramatic bunkering and green complexes. The team of Bill Cooreand Ben Crenshaw – Coore& Crenshaw, Inc. – designed both the championship golf course, the short course and the nine-hole "Horse Course" as Trinity Forest is the home of the PGA TOUR's AT&T Byron Nelson Championship, as well as annually host NCAA invitational tournament and additional high-profile professional and amateur events. The Club is also the home course for SMU's golf team.Big thanks to ??@SMUGolfM? all their hard work hosting this week. Big ?? for this video of ?@a_delrey99? birdie on 18 to finish at 16-under 197.
