TEMPE, Ariz. – The two-time reigning national champion Sun Devil triathlon team heads to Clermont, Fla. for two different events this weekend (Mar. 3-4) both part of the Clermont Draft Legal Challenge.

"We expect a high level of college, national, and international competitors will be toeing the line," said head coach Cliff English. "It will be great exposure for our team to gain experience and to test out early season fitness and for some to start accumulating early season ITU classification points for national team criteria and teams selection."

On Saturday (Mar. 3), five Sun Devils will compete at the Clermont CAMTRI Sprint Triathlon American Cup while six others will compete Sunday (Mar. 4) at the U25 Elite Development Race.

Saturday's competitors include Sarah Quintero, Rebecca Naughton, Katie Gorczyca, Charlotte Ahrens, and Kyla Roy while Sunday's include Cat Giuseffi, Lillie Robinson, Darby Middlebrook, Kenzi Wilson, Kendal Williams, and Delaney Bucker.

Last season, ASU took five to the challenge, led by alum Amy Darlington, who had the seventh-fastest bike time and finished 12th overall. Sarah Quintero also had the 12th-fastest swim time and a 15th-place finish amongst a tough group of competitors. Kendall Williams (25th), Delaney Bucker (27th), and Lillie Robinson (33rd) also competed in the U25 race.

Results following each competition will be on http://www.draftlegalchallenge.com/index as well as @SunDevilTri on Twitter. A full recap of the weekend will be on TheSunDevils.com on Sunday.
