TEMPE  -- The Arizona State University baseball program will host a preseason scrimmage against Central Arizona College on Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 6 p.m., as announced by head coach Tracy Smith

The event will be non-ticketed and open to the public free of charge with seating available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Members from the Sun Devil Ticket Sales and Service staff will be on hand to provide fans with any information they need regarding new seasons tickets, group plans and mini-plans throughout the season. Fans in attendance will also have the opportunity to register for a chance to win two general admission season tickets, autographed baseballs and other assorted prizes. Take the opportunity to renew your season tickets on the spot before the December 2nddeadline.   

Fans attending the scrimmage will get their first and only opportunity to see the squad taking part in live game action against another opponent this Fall and witness a lineup that features 2016 All-Pac-12 selections RHP Eder Erives, OF Andrew Shaps and OF Gage Canning as well as seasoned veterans INF Andrew Snow, LHP Eli Lingos, RHP Ryan Hingst, OF Sebastian Zawada and many others.

The Sun Devils will host their annual Maroon and Gold World Series Nov. 19-20 at Phoenix Municipal Stadium. The games will be played at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday. That will be the last opportunity for fans to come out and see the Devils play in the Fall.

The team will depart on a foreign tour to the Dominican Republic beginning Dec. 10 through Dec. 17. Sun Devil Baseball opens the 2017 seasons on Friday, Feb. 17 with a three-game series against Northwestern.

Sun Devil Baseball welcomes the third season for head coach Tracy Smith as well as the team's third campaign at beautiful Phoenix Municipal Stadium, recently ranked the No. 1 venue for collegiate baseball in the West and within the Pac-12 by D1Baseball.com. Fans can enjoy that ambiance to the tune of 33 home games in 2017, including a 12-game home stretch from Feb. 29 through March 16. The home slate features games against 2016 College World Series contenders Oklahoma State and Arizona along with Pac-12 match-ups with Oregon State, UCLA, Washington State and Stanford

The Sun Devils will welcome in the nation's No. 1 recruiting class, the first non-Southeastern Conference program to earn the nod in seven years, as rated by Collegiate Baseball. The Sun Devils had 11 members of their signing class signed in the Professional Baseball Draft in June, with five of those electing to forgo a Major League contract to attend Arizona State. The Sun Devils brought in three transfers who have all been drafted in their careers - bringing the total number of draft picks in the signing class to eight.
