TEMPE – Sun Devil Hockey returns to Mullett Arena for its 2026-27 home-opening series against Holy Cross on Oct. 9-10. The two-game set marks the Crusaders' first visit to Mullett Arena and their first trip to the state of Arizona.
Arizona State enters the weekend following a series split at Lindenwood, highlighted by a 5-0 shutout victory in its season opener. The Sun Devils tallied 11 goals across the opening weekend, including goals from six newcomers, as a revamped roster featuring 17 new faces prepares for its first home series of the season.

Holy Cross enters the weekend following a series split against Maine to open its 2026-27 campaign. The Crusaders dropped their season opener, 4-1, before bouncing back with a 3-2 overtime victory on Oct. 3.

History vs. Holy Cross
ASU owns a 2-0-1 all-time record against Holy Cross, holding a plus-three goal differential across three meetings. The programs first met Nov. 24-25, 2017, in Worcester, Massachusetts, when the Sun Devils earned a 3-1 victory before skating to a 3-3 tie in the series finale.
The most recent meeting came Feb. 7, 2020, when ASU earned a 3-2 overtime victory in Worcester. This weekend marks Holy Cross' first trip to Arizona and the first meeting between the programs at Mullett Arena.

- Smolen also moved into 10th all-time in program history with 68 career points, surpassing Demetrios Koumontzis (67, 2018-23).
