Freshman (2026-27)
- Scored his first collegiate goal in ASU's 5-4 victory over UMass Lowell on Oct. 16, bringing his season total to five points (1G, 4A) through five games, tied for third among NCAA Division I freshmen at the time.
- Dished out his fourth assist of the season on Kyle Smolen’s game-tying goal on Oct. 10 vs Holy Cross.
- Added an additional two assists on Oct. 3 against Lindenwood to round out a three point debut weekend.
- Made his NCAA debut on Oct. 2 against Lindenwood, earning his first career point via assist.
Before ASU
- Hafele enters this summer's NHL draft as the No. 64-ranked North American skater per the NHL Central Scouting final rankings in addition to being named a B-Rated skater. The Fairbanks, Alaska, native is a two-time USA Hockey National Team Development Program (USNTDP) alumni, before finishing his junior career with the Green Bay Gamblers (USHL).
- In his time with the USNTDP, he competed in four international tournaments, where he was a member of the 2024 U17 Five Nations Tournament gold medal winning squad. Hafele was also a key component to the 2025 U.S. junior select team’s World Junior A Challenge championship winning team and skated in an additional 106 games for both the U-17 and U-18 National Teams. He spent the final season of his junior career with the Green Bay Gamblers, tallying 42 points (15G, 27A) and was named to the 2026 Chipotle All-American game, a contest that featured the top NHL draft-eligible players from the U.S. Under-18 National Team.
