TEMPE – In one of its highest scoring games in history, Arizona State (1-0) cruised to a 70-7 victory over Morgan State (1-1) Saturday night at Mountain America Stadium, welcoming 54,004 fans for the ninth-straight sellout crowd.
Sophomore Cutter Boley set multiple career highs with six touchdown passes and 387 passing yards. Boley's six touchdown passes were the most by a Sun Devil quarterback since Andrew Walter threw for six in 2004.
ASU tallied 682 yards of total offense in the victory, the most since the offense had 652 yards against Texas Tech on Sept. 10, 2016.
The 70 points tied for the second-most in program history, last reached in the 70-7 win at Arizona on Dec. 11, 2020.

Wide receiver Reed Harris hauled in a career-best two touchdowns while adding 137 yards on six receptions in his Sun Devil debut. His pair of scores came via a 28-yard pass with 2:45 in the opening quarter and an eight-yard reception in the final 1:56 of the first half.
Harris alongside sophomore running back Grayson Rigdon each tallied two receiving touchdowns, while wide receiver Omarion Miller and sophomore tight end AJ Ia rounded out the group on the receiving end of Boley's six touchdowns.
The rushing attack played its part early and often, as running back Kyson Brown broke loose on a 46-yard rushing touchdown just 30 seconds into the Sun Devils first drive to open the scoring. ASU has now scored on 11-straight season opening drives dating back to 2015, easily the best mark in college football.
The Sun Devils ground game saw contributions up and down the depth chart, as nine rushers combined for 249 yards, 7.1 yards per carry and four rushing touchdowns. Marquis Gillis and David Avit each added a rushing touchdown of their own before Jason Brown Jr. scored ASU's 10th total touchdown of the game to put an exclamation mark on the dominant opening night victory.
ASU will look to carry its momentum as the squad hits the road for an early season test in SEC country with a must-see matchup against No. 8 Texas A&M. Saturday Kickoff is slated for 9:00 a.m. MST/11 a.m. Texas time with the game nationally televised on ABC.
