Arizona State often brags about its Big-12 leading Academic All-Americans across all its sports.

The first Academic All-American in school history has passed away.

Sun Devil Hall of Famer Art Becker helped the Sun Devil men's basketball team to a 26-3 record in 1962-63, the most wins in school history.

He scored 1,284 points and notched 724 rebounds in his Sun Devil career, and still ranks among ASU career leaders in rebounds per game (9.0), field goal percentage (.524), free throw percentage (.797), and total field goals (531).
