AUSTIN, Texas – After sweeping through last weekend’s NCAA Bryan-College Station Regional, the Sun Devil Softball program will now travel to Austin for the NCAA Austin Super Regional to see if anyone will answer as Arizona State is knocking on the door of another Women’s College World Series appearance.

- Friday, May 22 – at Texas, 6 p.m. MST / 8 p.m. CDT (ESPN+)
- Saturday, May 23 – at Texas, 4 p.m. MST / 6 p.m. CDT (ESPN+)
- Sunday, May 24 – at Texas, TBD (TBD)

- Kevin Brown (play by play) and Amanda Scarborough (analyst) will call the weekend’s action on the ESPN platform, while Alyssa Lang will serve as a sideline reporter throughout the weekend.
THE OPPOSITION:
- Friday’s game will mark the first time Arizona State has played Texas in Austin since Feb. 25, 2022, when the Sun Devils beat the Longhorns, 2-0, behind a complete game shutout from then-Sun Devil Mac Morgan (6 IP) and Lindsay Lopez (1 IP) as part of the 2022 Texas Classic.
- It remains the only game Arizona State has played against Texas in Austin throughout the Sun Devils’ history.
- Entering the weekend, Arizona State holds a 10-9 all-time record against Texas.
- A win during the series opener would give the Sun Devils a three-game winning streak, the longest winning streak by either team since Texas won three straight – Feb. 7, 2003 (1-0), Mar. 19, 2005 (1-0) and June 1, 2006 (2-0) – when Longhorn Hall of Famer Cat Osterman guided the Longhorns.
- This weekend will mark the first time Arizona State and Texas have meet during the NCAA Tournament since May 30, 2013, when the Longhorns beat the Sun Devils, 6-3, at the 2013 Women’s College World Series.
- UT is 3-0 all-time against ASU in the NCAA Tournament:

LEADING OFF:
- Arizona State will be looking for its first berth in the Women’s College World Series since the 2018 season.
- In 2018, the Sun Devils swept through the Tempe Regional – beating New Mexico State and Ole Miss – before knocking off South Carolina – in two games – to close out the Tempe Super Regional.
- Since the beginning of the regional and super regional format prior to the 2005 season, Arizona State has never clinched a berth in the WCWS after winning a road super regional let along both a road regional and super regional.
- The last time ASU won a road “regional/super regional’ to advance to the WCWS was in 2002, when it won Regional No. 3 in Lafayette.
- With two home runs throughout the course of the Austin Super Regional, Arizona State will turn in its first 100-double, 100-home run season in program history.
- The Sun Devils enter Friday’s game with 101 doubles – six shy of tying the single-season program record (107) set in 2008 – and 98 home runs – six shy of tying the single-season program record (104) set in 2022.
- Katie Chester will travel to Red & Charline McCombs Field need just one home run to tie the Arizona State single-season home run record set by Cydney Sanders (21) throughout the 2022 campaign.
- Chester also needs just seven RBI to tie the program’s single-season RBI mark set by Krista Donnenwirth (74) during the 2008 season.
- With two wins on the weekend, Arizona State will earn its 45th and 46th wins on the season, the second most in a single season by the Sun Devils since 2014:
