GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators (CSC) released the Men’s Swim and Dive 2025-26 Academic All-America recipients, announced Wednesday morning, with three Sun Devils being recognized.
Receiving the honor for the third year in a row is senior Jonny Kulow, being named to the CSC All-America first team. While junior Ilya Kharun and senior Andy Dobrzanski receive second team honors. All three helped lead the men's team to a second-straight Big 12 Championship.
Academic All-American honors are reserved for college students who excel in their respective sport as well as in their academics. Each student-athlete nominee must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA. Nominees then have the chance to advance to the next round where they are sent through to the Academic All-America sub-committee team, before being put forth for Academic All-America consideration, where only those with the highest academic and athletic credentials will advance.
Kulow, a microbiology student, maintained a 4.0 GPA during the academic year while playing a vital role on the Men’s Swim and Dive Team. Additionally, Kulow won the NCAA Elite Scholar Athlete award last month and was named a CSC All-America Team Member of the Year in 2024 and 2025. In addition to his academics, Kulow won three NCAA titles (200 medley, free relay, and 400 free relay) and secured three Big 12 Championships (200 Free Relay, 400 free relay and 800 free relay). In his career, he’s a 22-time All-American.
Kharun earned a spot on the second team for the first time in his career while maintaining a 3.59 GPA as a business student. While excelling academically, he is also an NCAA Individual Champion in the 200 fly and won four NCAA titles in relays (200 medley, free relays | 400 free, medley relays). This year, he was named the Big 12 Swimmer of the Year for the second consecutive season.
Dobrzanski received second team honors for the first time in his career and is pursuing a degree in construction management and technology. Dobrzanski has a cumulative 3.57 GPA, and is a two-time NCAA Champion (200 medley relay, 400 medley relay), a four-time Big 12 Champion this past season (100 & 200 breast, 200 & 400 medley relay). In his career, Dobrzanski was a seven-time All-American and was part of the 2024 national championship team.
