LAS VEGAS – Sun Devil Wrestling is set to send 19 representatives spanning between current wrestlers, alumni and incoming freshmen to compete at the US Open, held at The Expo at World Market Las Vegas from April 24-26.
Of the 19 wrestlers representing Arizona State, the breakdown is as follows:

The group of current wrestlers is headlined by 2026 Big 12 Champion and 165-pound All-American, Nicco Ruiz. Ruiz is set to make his first appearance at the US Open after a standout sophomore season and will wrestle in the senior freestyle 74kg weight class.
Ruiz is joined by fellow NCAA tournament qualifier Pierson Manville as a current headliner. Manville will wrestle in both the greco-roman and freestyle divisions, where last year he secured a gold medal at the U20 Pan-American Championships on July 10, 2025 in Peru competing in the 67kg weight class in greco-roman. He earned the most outstanding wrestler award and also became the U20 greco-roman national champion with a 10-0 tech fall victory on April 24, 2025 in the 67kg weight class.
As for the alumni, five-time All-American Cohlton Schultz is primed to make another run at the US open. Schultz is the only Sun Devil in program history to earn five All-American honors, heads into the weekend as a four-time US Open/Senior Nationals champion and is the No. 1 seed of the greco-roman 130kg division.
Schultz is joined by five wrestlers represented by ASU to earn a preseed in the respective divisions.
