TUCSON – Sun Devil Track and Field competed in the inaugural “Dual in the Desert” against the University of Arizona on Saturday night at Drachman Stadium in Tucson.

Arizona State was led by junior sprinter Jayden Davis, who set the third-fastest 400m time in the entire country this season, clocking in at 44.97 to win the event.

Davis was joined by six other student-athletes in addition to the women’s 4x400m relay team to win their respective events.

Junior Alizee Garcia Parsons set a new personal best of 11:40.88 in the women’s 3000m to take first place in the event, her first individual win as a Sun Devil. 

Graduate Ines Lopez continued her strong start to the outdoor campaign after a win in the women’s discus throw with a distance of 57.76m, 189-06, which is good for eighth-best in the country.

The Sun Devils will be back in action at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, California from April 17-18.
