FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Sun Devil Track and Field will have two representatives at the 2026 NCAA Indoor Championships as junior sprinter Jayden Davis and sophomore sprinter Amir Thompson have officially qualified to compete at Randal Tyson Track Center from March 13-14.

Davis will run in the men’s 400M after posting a season-best 45.31 to win the Big 12 indoor 400M title on Feb. 28, becoming the first individual indoor Big 12 champion in program history and punching his ticket to nationals.

A local product of Mountain Pointe High School, Davis was a member of the 2024 indoor national champion 4x400 relay team. He is also an indoor and outdoor first-team All-American (2025) and holds the Arizona State men’s 400M school record of 44.95, set in 2025.

Thompson will compete in the men’s 200M, where he owns the sixth-fastest time in the country (20.40). The mark earned him the Big 12 indoor title on Feb. 28 and set a new ASU program record in the indoor 200M. The performance also ranks as the second-fastest indoor 200M all-time by an athlete under the age of 20, according to Global Athletics Hub.

ESPN+ will stream the championships live beginning at 10 a.m. MST Friday, March 13, and 10:30 a.m. MST Saturday, March 14. A re-air of the championships will air at 5 p.m. MST Sunday, March 15 on ESPNU.
