Sun Devil Outlook
No. 24 Arizona State (10-10)
- The Sun Devils are coming off of their best performance all season, scoring a 196.800 in the Cal Quad Meet 1, ultimately placing second in the session behind No. 6 California. The squad earned a 49.300 in each event besides beam, with a 49.300 on vault being a season high for the Gym Devils thus far. In the second quad meet on Sunday, ASU took third with a 196.250, which aided in improving the team's NQS to the 196.310 it sits at now.
- Four from Sun Devil Gymnastics were named to the All-Big 12 Team for four events: Sarah Clark (bars), Jada Mangahas (vault), Kimberly Smith (all-around) and Emily White (floor, all-around). In Arizona State's first season in the Big 12, the team made a mark in the conference awards. This is the first all-conference honor for all four of the Sun Devils. For the first time since 2021, Arizona State has four or more conference honors. It is the first time since 1986 that four or more individuals were honored in the same season. In eight of the last nine seasons, ASU has had at least one gymnast earn all-conference honors in the all-around. This is the first time since 2020 that two Sun Devils received conference honors in the all-around.
- Graduate Emily White has been a prominent factor for the Gym Devils as she has been consistent in the all-around. She has earned an all-around score of 39.100 or higher in eight meets this season. On top of that, the graduate has earned a score of 9.900 or higher nine times this season, with six of them coming on floor.
- The Gym Devils have 26 total event titles this season, with the most coming from beam (8). Individually, White has the most with 14, with four of them coming from all-around. Fellow graduate Sarah Clark follows behind her with four, split between bars and beam. Others with titles are Jada Mangahas (3), Kimberly Smith (2), Lilia Purler (1), Kayla Lee (1) and Isabella Kowan (1). Of the 26 event titles earned thus far, 21 of them are from the three fifth years.
- The Sun Devils have been very efficient on bars this season, recording at least a score of 49.000 or higher eight times this season. Their season high thus far in the season is a 49.450 against Big 12 opponent, West Virginia. That is the highest event total across all four events so far for ASU.
- In conference championships, Arizona State has not finished in second or better since 1996. The team is going for its first top-four finish since 2021.
