No. 15 Arizona State has made the NCAA Championship for the 38th time, tying Stanford for the most in the nation. Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye is looking to lead the program to a record ninth NCAA Title and her second at the helm in Tempe. The 2024 NCAA Women's Golf Championship will run May 17-22, with GOLF Channel providing live coverage of the last three days. NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP APPEARANCES
The Maroon & Gold will begin their stay in Carlsbad with a practice round on Thursday morning before participating in the first round. On Friday afternoon, Sun Devil Women's Golf tees off starting at 1:50 PM MST on Hole 10, kicking-off the first of three stroke-play rounds. After three days, ASU must be in the Top-15 of the team standings in order to make the final day of stroke play (Monday). Should they find themselves in the Top-8 after Monday, the Sun Devils will earn a spot in the Match Play which begins on Tuesday. 2024 NCAA WOMEN'S GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP (Carslbad, CA - Omni La Costa Resort & Spa)
For the first time since 2019, the NCAA Women's Golf Championship will not be at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, as Arizona State's extremely successful three-year run as a host has come to an end. The 2024 NCAA Women's Golf Championship will take place near San Diego at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad from May 17-22. Now that they have advanced from a Regional, Sun Devil Women's Golf will attempt to win the program's NCAA record ninth national championship. Missy Farr-Kaye was in charge the last time that ASU won a title, defeating Northwestern at Rich Harvest Farms in Chicago for the 2017 NCAA Women's Golf Championship. The program also brought home NCAA titles in 2009, 1998, 1997, 1995, 1994, 1993, and 1990.
LAST TIME OUT (Cle Elum Regional)
The Sun Devils advanced to the 2024 NCAA Women's Golf Championship thanks to a total team effort over the three days at Tumble Creek Club in Cle Elum. Battling challenging conditions in the Pacific Northwest throughout the week, Arizona State had to show grit and determination in order to secure their spot. Three Sun Devils found themselves in the Top-20 when it was all said and done, led by senior Ashley Menne. She ensured her team would not miss out on a NCAA Championship appearance, coming through with the best result of any Sun Devil. Menne earned a tie for 9th, her 14th Top-10 and 25th Top-20 finish of her career. Not far behind Menne was sophomore Beth Coulter, as she ended in sole possession of 12th place. This is her eighth career Top-20 finish as she gets ready to make her NCAA Championship debut. The third Sun Devil in the Top-20 was Paula Schulz-Hanssen, who carded the best round of the day for ASU. Her 70 (-2) was a big reason why the Maroon & Gold were able to create separation from the fifth-place cutoff.
THE COMPETITION
No event features a stronger field than the NCAA Golf Championships. Arizona State will be one of 25 teams in the Top-30 of the latest Clipp'd Rankings. All 30 teams competing at Omni La Costa Resort & Spa are ranked inside the Top-44. The Sun Devils boast a 38-26-2 head-to-head record with teams in the 2024 NCAA Women's Golf Championship.

Not only will the nation's best teams be competing for the NCAA Title, but the best golfers in the nation will be gunning for the Individual National Title. The NCAA Women's Golf Championship features 39 of the Top-50 golfers in the latest Clipp'd rankings. That includes Arizona State's Ashley Menne, who sits at No. 41 in the latest poll. In total, 129 of the Top-200 golfers will make their way to Carlsbad to compete for the championship, including all five Sun Devils.
SEEDING
Arizona State received the No. 15 seed at the 30-team NCAA Championship. The seeding is based on the latest Clipp'd Team Rankings.
THE FORMAT
In regional play, six 54-hole regional competitions were played to determine the participants in the championship finals. In each regional, 12 teams and six individuals not on those teams competed. The low five teams and the individual not on those teams advanced to the finals.
In the championship finals, all 30 teams and six individuals will complete 54 holes of stroke play. Following 54 holes of competition, the top 15 teams along with the top nine individuals will advance for one additional day of stroke play to determine the top eight teams for match-play competition and the 72-hole stroke-play individual champion. The top eight teams after 72 holes of play will be placed into a bracket with the No. 1 seed playing the No. 8 seed, the No. 2 seed playing the No. 7 seed, the No. 3 seed playing the No. 6 seed and the No. 4 seed playing the No. 5 seed in match play.
A total of five points will be available with one point being awarded for each individual match. Winning teams will advance to the semifinals and subsequently the finals. The first team to win three points within the team match will advance, or in the case of the final match be declared the national champion.
THE LINEUP

HISTORY AT THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
The Sun Devil Women's Golf program is the most prestigious in the nation, taking home a NCAA record eight NCAA Championships. ASU won the National Championship in 1990, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2009, and 2017, dominating the women's collegiate golf scene for the last three decades. Nobody knew how to win at the NCAA Championship like legendary Head Coach Linda Vollstedt, who won five titles in nine years in the 1990's. The first came when current Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye was a player, starting the trifecta for Farr-Kaye. She later won as an Assistant Coach in 2009 and as a Head Coach in 2017, giving her three National Titles in three different roles. Since 2000, Arizona State has qualified for the NCAA Championship 21 times, one of only five programs who can make that claim (Stanford, Duke, USC, UCLA).

Two Sun Devils added another impressive accolade as the Pac-12 announced the 2024 All-Conference teams - voted on by the coaches of the league - following the conclusion of the Pac-12 Championship. 2023-24 CAMPAIGN
Arizona State has been tested throughout 2023-24 as Coach Farr-Kaye built one of the nation's toughest slates once again. The Maroon and Gold have competed in a total of ten regular season events, four in the Fall and six in the Spring. HISTORY AT THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
The Sun Devil Women's Golf program is the most prestigious in the nation, taking home a NCAA record eight NCAA Championships. ASU won the National Championship in 1990, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 2009, and 2017, dominating the women's collegiate golf scene for the last three decades. Nobody knew how to win at the NCAA Championship like legendary Head Coach Linda Vollstedt, who won five titles in nine years in the 1990's. The first came when current Head Coach Missy Farr-Kaye was a player, starting the trifecta for Farr-Kaye. She later won as an Assistant Coach in 2009 and as a Head Coach in 2017, giving her three National Titles in three different roles. Since 2000, Arizona State has qualified for the NCAA Championship 21 times, one of only five programs who can make that claim (Stanford, Duke, USC, UCLA).

GOLF CHANNEL COVERAGE
GOLF Channel will present the 2024 NCAA Division I Women's (May 20-22) and Men's (May 27-29) Golf Championships, totaling over 50 hours of comprehensive coverage. The women's championship will be held May 17-22, with GOLF Channel providing live coverage of the final day of individual championship play on May 20 as well as the team match play on May 21-22. Two Sun Devils added another impressive accolade as the Pac-12 announced the 2024 All-Conference teams - voted on by the coaches of the league - following the conclusion of the Pac-12 Championship. Senior Ashley Menne was one of 12 golfers to land on the Pac-12 All-Conference First Team, the second consecutive year she has accomplished the feat. 2023-24 CAMPAIGN
Arizona State has been tested throughout 2023-24 as Coach Farr-Kaye built one of the nation's toughest slates once again. The Maroon and Gold have competed in a total of ten regular season events, four in the Fall and six in the Spring. The postseason started April 21 at the Pac-12 Championship and now the Sun Devils have advanced past the NCAA Regionals. The next step is the 2024 NCAA Women's Golf Championship running May 17-22.
