Sun Devil Outlook
No. 11 Arizona State (8-2)
  • The Sand Devils finished the Pac-12 South Tournament with a 2-2 record. ASU earned wins against No. 2 Stanford and No. 19 Arizona.
  • Completing the upset over Stanford marked the best win in program history for ASU.
  • On top of an already historic 6-0 start, the current 8-2 record is the best through 10 games ASU has had in program history.
  • The team now has five ranked wins under their belt, which broke the previous record of three in a single season.
  • No. 1 pair Daniella Kensinger and Anya Pemberton went 3-1 this weekend. The duo helped the Sand Devils defeat Stanford and won the longest set in program history to take down Arizona's No. 1s (30-28). Their efforts earned them ASU's second ever Pac-12 Pair of the Week honor, first since 2019.
  • The experienced pair of graduate Lexi Sweeney and senior Taryn Ames are two wins away from reaching 50 career individual wins to put them in a tie for seventh in the ASU record book. Both of them currently have 48.
Opponent Outlook
Pepperdine (6-6)
  • Pepperdine traveled to Hawai'i this past weekend where they finished the weekend with a 4-3 record.
  • The Sand Devils have never beaten the Waves and will attempt to tally a win in the 0-3 record.
No. 7 Long Beach State (10-2)
  • The Sharks have won their last seven duals including five ranked wins. On Wednesday, they hosted No. 15 Georgia State and No. 17 GCU, beating both.
  • ASU last played LBSU in 2016 where they fell in the dual, 4-1.
CSUN (6-3)
  • CSUN comes off of a 2-2 weekend featuring wins over Sacramento State and Cal State Bakersfield.
  • The Sand Devils currently hold an undefeated record against the Matadors (2-0).
Texas (0-0)
  • Texas will start its 2024 season at the LBSU Tournament this weekend.
  • In their inaugural season last year, the Longhorns finished with a 1-12 record, their single win coming from a 3-2 victory over Missouri State.
  • This will be the first meeting between the two programs.
