TEMPE – Previewing the 2025 Sun Devil Gymnastics squad, the annual Maroon and Gold Scrimmage is this Saturday at 2 p.m. MST in Desert Financial Arena and is free to the public.
Arizona State, ranked No. 20 in the WCGA Preseason Poll, will see competitors on all four events, both returners and newcomers alike. The meet will be free to the public. For those not in attendance, it will be streamed on Instagram Live on the Sun Devil Gymnastics Instagram page (@sundevilgymnastics). Fans at the meet will have a chance to buy season tickets at the early bird rate, an offer only available in person at the event on Saturday.
The Gym Devils finished the 2024 season with a 8-5 record and ranked No. 16 on the Road to Nationals.The team returns three fifth years in Sarah Clark, Jada Mangahas and Emily White. Between them, they had 26 scores of 9.9 or better last year, led by 12 from White. They also have 16 combined event titles in 2024. Other contributors returning in 2025 are senior Alex Theodorou, juniors Kimberly Smith and Kayla Lee, and sophomores Halle Gregoire and Lilia Purler. Additionally, there are five newcomers (four freshmen and a senior transfer Jenna Blair).
