NEW FACES MAKE AN IMMEDIATE IMPACT
The Sun Devils were propelled by a number of newcomers throughout the 2023-24 season, via both true freshmen and incoming transfers. True freshmen like Alex Johnson (long jump), Saira Prince (400m hurdles) and Jayden Davis (400m, 4x400 relay) made their mark on the program from the get-go, with the latter winning an Indoor relay title, a Pac-12 Championship title and earning fourth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Both Davis and Johnson even punched their ticket to the U-20 roster for the upcoming World Athletics Championships in Peru this August.
Transfers like Ines Lopez, Brandon Lloyd, Kaleb Simpson, Nicholas Ramey and Tiera Robinson-Jones wasted little time in their first seasons in Tempe. Head coach Dion Miller hit the transfer portal hard in the off-season, and it paid major dividends for his squad in the 2023-24 campaign. Lopez, Lloyd, Simpson and Ramey each reached the NCAA Outdoor Championships and figure to be major contributors in the coming seasons.

POSTSEASON SUCCESS
At the NCAA Indoor Championships in early March, the Sun Devils made history with their record-setting performance en route to the Men's 4x400 relay title. Justin Robinson-Kaleb Simpson-Jayden Davis-Gamali Felix became national champions with their winning time of 3:02.35, setting a new school and facility record. It was also a world-leading indoor time and the collegiate lead this season. They delivered the school's first Indoor relay title, outlasting Florida (3:02.53) and Texas A&M (3:03.35).
Fast forward months later to the Pac-12 Championships, the Sun Devils established themselves as a relay powerhouse while in Boulder, Colorado. The foursome of Jayden Davis-Kaleb Simpson-Nicholas Ramey-Gamali Felix brought home another 4x400 title, courtesy of their time of 3:01.79, helping the Sun Devils earn six podium finishes across three days of action at Potts Field.
A total of 19 Sun Devils qualified for the NCAA West Regional Preliminary meet, the qualifier to the NCAA Championships, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Led by Adriana Tatum, 11 total Sun Devils would go on to qualify to the NCAA Outdoor Championships. Adriana Tatum (100m, 200m), Brandon Lloyd (shot put), Alexandria Johnson (long jump), Justin Robinson (400m), Dayton Carlson (800m), Ines Lopez (discus) Saira Prince (400m hurdles), Jayden Davis (4x400 relay), Kaleb Simpson (4x400 relay), Nicholas Ramey (4x400 relay) and Gamali Felix (4x400 relay) each punched their ticket to the national championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Weeks later at the historic Hayward Field, the Sun Devils saw five earn All-American honors in Dayton Carlson (800m/15th), Justin Robinson (400m/9th, 4x400 relay/4th), Jayden Davis (4x400 relay/4th), Kaleb Simpson (4x400 relay/4th) and Gamali Felix (4x400 relay/4th).
