TEMPE – Sun Devil Football (1-2) fell to the Fresno State Bulldogs (3-0) Saturday night at Mountain America Stadium, 29-0. The win extends the Bulldogs winning streak to 12 games which is the second longest streak in the nation behind Georgia, as ASU had eight turnovers.

Bulldogs Mikey Keene started the game out hitting on his first 14 completions, and ended with 281 yards and two touchdowns on the night going 32-of-49, while the Fresno State defense forced eight turnovers in the victory.

Arizona native Trenton Bourguet started for an injured Jaden Rashada, and recorded 6-of-8 before suffering an injury, which prompted the Sun Devils to send out Drew Pyne and Jacob Conover that saw their first game-action of the season. The quarterbacks combined for 17-of-37 for 188 yards on the night.

Xavier Guillory caught three passes for 20-yards on the night and surpassed 1,500 career receiving yards in his collegiate career. Redshirt senior Bryce Pierre led the team with three catches and 35-yards. 

The defense recorded five sacks, the first time since Oct. 8, 2021, the Sun Devils got to the quarterback on five separate occasions . Ro Torrence and Prince Dorbah tallied two sacks apiece with two tackles for loss, both being career highs. In total, the defense tallied 81 tackles on the night with Chris Edmonds and Demetries Ford leading the way with nine.
