- Was the seventh-highest graded safety in pass coverage last season (75.0) in the Pac-12 and his 16.2 forced incompletion rate when targeted was fifth among league safeties
- Opponents managed just 6.4 yards per coverage target against Edmonds, eighth among Pac-12 safeties
- Credited with just six missed tackles on the season, the sixth-lowest tally among Pac-12 safeties with at least 300 snaps played
- Had 40 tackles and three interceptions in 11 games for Samford during its Fall season in 2021
- Started all seven games of Samford’s spring season at safety in 2021 (after the Fall 2020 season was postponed), where he was named first team All-American by multiple sources
- Named first team All-SoCon and a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award for the top defensive player in all of FCS football
- Led the SoCon and tied for third in the nation in total interceptions (4), and led the league and ranked 13th nationally in interceptions per game (0.6) . . . finished third on the team in tackles with 40, including 24 solo stops . . . also had a fumble recovery and two forced fumbles
- Prepped at Brookstone School in Columbus, Ga., and played both wide receiver and defensive back
- As a senior in 2018, caught 22 passes for 513 yards and four touchdowns and scored a rushing touchdown as well
- Also had 34 tackles as a senior, including 17 solo stops and also returned 10 kickoffs and seven punts as a senior as well
- Was also a guard on the basketball team
