Men's Basketball Hosts San Francisco on SundayMen's Basketball Hosts San Francisco on Sunday

TEMPE - Sun Devil Men's Basketball continues a three-game home stand by hosting San Francisco on Sunday at Desert Financial Arena.

Arizona State (4-2) is coming off back-to-back double-digit victories over Vanderbilt and Sam Houston State. Head Coach Bobby Hurley's squad gets ready for another match-up with San Francisco (5-2) on Sunday at 1 PM. This is the second of three games on the home stand, offering fans plenty of opportunities to check out Sun Devil Men's Basketball in person.

HOW TO FOLLOW
ASU's game against San Francisco on Sunday will be broadcast on Pac-12 Network, scheduled for a 1 PM MST tip-off with Daron Sutton (play-by-play) and Don MacLean (analyst) on the call. Make sure to listen to Tim Healey and Kyle Dodd on ESPN 620 AM (KTAR). The action can also be tracked via live stats available here.

LAST TIME OUT
Sun Devil Men's Basketball never trailed in a wire-to-wire 78-61 victory over Sam Houston State Wednesday night at Desert Financial Arena. Defense turned into offense for Arizona State as the 28 fast-break points and 18 points off turnovers were key factors in the 17-point victory over the Bearkats. Four players finished in double-figures, guided by Jose Perez's 24 points on an efficient 9-for-13 from the field. ASU managed to shoot 33-of-64 (51.6%) from the field, marking back-to-back games that they shot above 50%.

I'LL TAKE THAT
Through five games of the 2023-24 season, Frankie Collins has emerged as one of the best perimeter defenders in the nation. He has been causing opposing guards issues with his ball pressure and aggressiveness. Collins now has 21 steals, putting him 9th in the country in the category. Frankie Collins currently is second the entire nation in steals per game, averaging 3.5 per contest. He matched a program-record with eight steals in the victory over UMass Lowell earlier in the year.

CONSTANT COMPETITION
Arizona State has matched up with some of the top teams in the nation to start the 2023-24 campaign. ASU's only two losses came to BYU (6-0) and Mississippi State (6-1), who are ranked 19th and 21st respectively in the latest AP Poll. The Sun Devils still represent UMass Lowell's (5-1) only loss of the season. ASU has also defeated 2023 NIT participants Vanderbilt and Sam Houston State.

Arizona State welcomes Yusuf Ali and Jarryn Skeete to the Sun Devil Family, with Nick Irvin and Mickey Mitchell receiving promotions. The news comes after Greg Lansing (Special Assistant to the Head Coach) and Hunter Eisenhower (Associate Head Coach - Sports Performance) joined the staff earlier in the offseason. ASU now boasts an experienced and diverse staff from top to bottom, featuring some of the nation's top rising talent in the coaching industry.

HERE TO STAY
The Arizona State Board of Regents announced in March of 2023 that Sun Devil Men's Basketball Head Coach Bobby Hurley has agreed to an extension that will keep him with the program through the 2026 season.

NCAAS UNDER COACH HURLEY
ASU has made the NCAA Tournament three times in the past five chances (2023, 2019, and 2018) and won two games. In the previous 32 seasons (1986-2017),  ASU made two NCAA Tournaments and was 2-3.

All 31 of Arizona State's games will be televised, with Coach Hurley's squad making appearances on ESPN, FOX, Pac-12 Network and several major network affiliates in addition to online streaming platforms.

The 2024 Men's Final Four will be played at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., with the national semifinals on Saturday, April 6 and the National Championship game on Monday, April 8, 2024.
