SALT LAKE CITY– In a Monday meet, No. 1/19 Sun Swim and Dive competed in their final dual meet of 2023 where both programs kept their foot on the gas for the entirety of the meet against conference opponent Utah.
The Sun Devil men and women combined to win 26 events throughout the final meet of the 2023 calendar year for ASU. En route to those wins, 30 pool records of the Don Reddish Pool were broken by the Sun Devils this afternoon.

Women's 200 Yard Medley Relay
The Sun Devil women opened the dual meet on a high note going 1-2. The relay of Ieva Maluka-Zoe Summar-Lindsay Looney-Erin Milligan were first with a 1:39.51 finish and Katrina Marty-Ginger McMahon-Hannah Hurleman-Marte Lovberg took second with a 1:41.08 time.
Men's 200 Yard Medley Relay
In the first event for the Sun Devil men, the squad of Jack Dolan-John Heaphy-Ilya Kharun-Jonny Kulow won the event clocking in a time of 1:23.21. The relay of Hubert Kós-David Schlicht-Alex Colson-Cam Peel finishes in second with a 1:25.44 finish.
Women's 1000 Yard Free
Deniz Ertan won this event with a 9:57.03 finish followed by Alexa Reyna in second with a 10:04.38 and Lia Csulak in third with a time of 10:06.34.
Men's Yard 1000 Free
Daniel Matheson wins this event for Arizona State as he swam a 9:05.39. Ryan King (3rd/9:21.68) and Jake Mason (4th/9:31.71) rounded out the top four in this event.
Women's 200 Yard Free
Ieva Maluka wins this event for the fifth event of the day for the Sun Devils, swimming a 1:46.04. Molly Batchelor takes second with a 1:48.14 and Elli Straume is fourth with 1:50.74.
Men's 200 Yard Free
Patrick Sammon gets the event win with a 1:34.27 with Julian Hill taking second with a 1:34.75 and Tiago Behar finishing in third with a 1:35.45.
Women's 100 Yard Back
Katrina Marty continues a dominant day for the Sun Devil women with a 53.28 finish in her win. Charli Brown was a close second with a 54.02 finish and Athena Clayson took fourth with a 54.92.
Men's 100 Yard Back
Owen McDonald wins this event with a 45.69, a season best. Jack Wadsworth took second with a 47.49 and Quinlan Gould is fourth with a 49.07.
Women's 100 Yard Breast
The Sun Devil women went 1-2-3 for the second time in an individual event as Summar took first with a time of 1:01.83, McMahon was second with a 1:02.92 and Emma Gehlert tied for third with a 1:03.59.
Men's 100 Yard Breast
ASU also went 1-2-3 in this event with David Schlicht winning the event with a 53.25, Heaphy taking second with a 53.82 and Andy Dobrzanski finishing third with a 54.00.
Women's 200 Yard Butterfly
Looney wins this event with a finish of 1:56.18 followed by Jade Foelske (2nd/1:59.72) and Sonia Vaishnani (3rd/1:59.95).
Men's 200 Yard Butterfly
The Sun Devil men went 1-2-3 in this event as well with Kharun winning this event with a 1:39.31 finish, which is the second fastest time in school history. Alex Colson took second with a 1:44.58 finish and Kós was third with a 1:45.42 time.
Women's 50 Yard Free
Three finished for ASU in the top five as Milligan took second with a 23.20 finish and Indigo Armon was third with a 23.54 with Lovberg in fifth clocking in a 23.91.
Men's 50 Yard Free
For the fourth time in an individual event this meet, the Sun Devil men went 1-2-3 as Dolan won the event with Kulow and Peel rounding out the top three.
Women's 100 Yard Free
All four Sun Devils competing in this event finished in the top five as Maluka won her second event of the day with a 49.58 time, Milligan was right behind with a 49.74, Lovberg was third with a 51.14 and Straume was fifth with a 51.45.
Men's 100 Yard Free
It was a 1-2-3-4 finish in this event as Sammon won his second event of th day with a 43.63 finish, Peel in second with a 43.83, Behar in third with a 44.43 and Filip Senc Samardzic in fourth with a 44.89.
Women's 200 Yard Back
Charli Brown took third with a time of 1:59.14, Hana Edwards was fourth with a 1:59.66 and Clayson rounded out the top five with a time of 2:01.39.
Men's 200 Yard Back
McDonald picks up a win as the sophomore swam a 1:42.18 with Wadsworth in second (1:44.53) and Gould in fourth (1:50.16).
Women's 200 Yard Breast
Summar won her second individual event of the day, swimming a 2:14.92. Gehlert (2nd/2:16.02) and Vaishnani (3rd/2:16.79) rounded out the top three.
Men's 200 Yard Breast
The top four spots went to the Sun Devils as Schlicht won his second event of the day, Cale Martter was second, Dobrzanski took third and Heaphy was fourth.
Women's 500 Yard Free
All four swimmers in this event finished in the top five as Ertan won her second event of the day, Batchelor was second, Reyna took third and Csulak finished fifth.
Men's 500 Yard Free
Hill won the event with a time of 4:23.17 followed by Matheson taking second with a 4:23.27 with King (3rd/4:30.61) and Mason (4th/4:32.42) rounding out the top four.
Women's 100 Yard Butterfly
Looney won her second individual event of the day with Marty finishing second, Foelske taking third and Hannah Hurleman rounding out the top five.
Men's 100 Yard Butterfly
Kós won this event with a time of 45.69, Dolan was in second with a 46.24 and Colson took third with a time of 47.50.
Women's 200 Yard IM
Maluka won her third individual event of the day as she swam a 1:56.97 with Brown in second with a time of 2:01.54. Vaishnani (4th/2:02.38) rounded out the top four.
Men's 200 Yard IM
The Sun Devil men went 1-2-3 as Kharun won this event with a 1:43.51 finish with David Schlicht in second with a time of 1:44.38 and Cale Martter in third with a time of 1:46.03.
Women's 400 Yard Free Relay
The Sun Devil women took first and third in their final event of the day. The relay of Milligan-Looney-Batchelor-Straume won the event with a 3:18.66 and Lovberg-Clayson-Armon-Foelske's relay was third with a time of 3:24.22.
Men's 400 Yard Free Relay
Like with the 200 medley relay, the Sun Devils went 1-2 as Dolan-Peel-Sammon-McDonald's relay took first clocking in a 2:50.96 and the relay of Kós, Behar, Senc Samardzic and Hill finished in second place with a time of 2:54.40.
Diving Events
Amayah Wiley took second in the 1 meter with a score of 273.98 and Ashlyn Kirsch was fourth with a 198.60. In the men's 1-meter, Lane Stallworth was second with a 319.43 score and Zachory Lundgren was third with a 281.40.
In the 3-meter event, Wiley finished in second (230.25) and Kirsch was fourth (214.95). Lundgren was second with a score of 330.00 and Stallworth took third with a score of 315.38.

SUN DEVIL NOTABLES
- Deniz Ertan has now won the 1000 free five times this season after winning today's 1000 free with a 9:57.03 finish. She additionally won the 500 free for the fourth time this season with a 4:50.94 finish.
- Ilya Kharun's 1:39.31 finish in the 200 fly is the second fastest time in school history. He won all events he swam today as he won the 200 fly, 200 IM and 200 medley relay.
- Ieva Maluka went a perfect 4-for-4 in the events she competed in against the Utes as she won the 200 medley relay, 200 free, 100 free and 200 IM.
- Zoe Summar swept both breast events (100 breast/1:01.83) and 200 breast (200 breast/2:14.92), and also was a part of the winning 200 medley relay to win three events on the afternoon.
- David Schlicht swept both breaststroke events with a 1:54.75 finish in the 200 breast and a 53.25 in the 100 breast.
- Lindsay Looney swept the butterfly events as she swam a 53.69 in the 100 fly and a 1:56.18 in the 200 fly. Looney was also a part of the winning 200 medley relay and 400 free relay to win all events she swam in the dual.
- Patrick Sammon was another Sun Devil with multiple wins in this dual as he won both the 200 free (1:34.27) and 100 free (43.63).
