Of note
- No. 6 Richard Figueroa reentered the lineup at 125 for the first time in two competitions. He defeated Caleb Uessley 7-5 to earn his 11th consecutive victory this season and remain undefeated.
- No. 4 Michael McGee is back in the win column after a 9-3 decision over Ramazan Attasauov. McGee had dropped back-to-back matches heading into today but righted the ship for his 10th victory of the season.
- Jesse Vasquez upset No. 8/12 Casey Swiderski 8-6 in a match that needed to be settled in sudden victory. Vasquez struggled to gain control despite scoring first in the first period, and put up just three escapes to Swiderski's two takedowns in the second. Vasquez looked to be defeated as time ticked away in the third frame and the Cyclone was ahead 6-5, but a penalty in Vasquez' favor was called in the final five seconds to send things to overtime. Vasquez then used a few trips at the edge to get the win.
- The bout of the night was 149 where No. 5/6 Kyle Parco, a two-time All-American, met No. 3 Paniro Johnson, a 2021-22 grey-shirt who defeated three NCAA qualifiers. Johnson took control early and led Parco 4-3 midway through the match, but a final takedown in the second period put Parco ahead 6-5. An escape from Johnson in the third sent the match to overtime where Parco's defensive prowess kept him alive and allowed the Sun Devil to grab Johnson's ankle, twist, and roll on top for the upset sudden victory.
- No. 4 Cohlton Schultz earned a second consecutive win today with his 3-2 decision over No. 9 Sam Schuyler. It was his 12th victory over the year and eighth of ASU's three-event winter trip that started with the Ken Kraft Midlands back on December 29.
