2019-20: Broke onto the national scene with a 25-6 record at 184 pounds… Compiled a 13-3 dual record for the Cowboys… Led the team with five falls on the season… Picked up two ranked-wins, including a 6-4 decision against No. 7 Nino Bonaccorsi... Recorded a tech fall and a major decision to begin the season and put himself in a tie for first place with teammate Dakota Geer at the OCU Open… Closed his first regular season winning his last seven dual matches, which included his second win over a ranked opponent… Took third place at the Big 12 Championship… Earned the No. 9 seed heading into his first NCAA Championship tournament appearance… Earned second-team NWCA All-American honors.
2018-19 (Redshirt Year): Only lost three matches in his first season with the Pokes, wrestling exclusively in open tournaments at 184 pounds… Notched 17 wins over the course of the season, with nine coming by way of pin, two via major decision and three by technical fall… Took first place at the Lindenwood Open, winning each match with bonus points attached… Pinned three opponents at the Bob Smith Open and notched a technical fall over another en route to a first-place finish… Took third at the OCU Open, pinning each opponent in the matches he won, his fastest coming in 23 seconds… Took fourth place at the Reno Tournament of Champions.
