SEATTLE - Arizona State was all gas this weekend at the Pac-12 Invitational hosted by the University of Washington. The meet wasn't officially scored, but unofficial scores put ASU's men just two points behind Oregon, while the women came in at sixth. ASU's 4x400 men broke the Dempsey Indoor facility record with their 3:05.68 finish. ASU now prepares to send four individuals and one relay to the NCAA Indoor Championships in a few weeks.

Recapping the weekend:
The most exciting race of the meet was the men's 4x400 that saw Dubem Nwachukwu, Jalen Brown, Gemali Felix, and Justin Robinson run to a season's best 3:05.68. Their collective time is tied for the 16th-fastest in the NCAA this season, just missing one of the 12 qualifying spots for nationals by less than a second.

Turner Washington continued his undefeated streak in the shot put and extended it to 11-straight victories. His best all year was 21.33m/69-11.75 on Jan. 14 which ranks third in the nation. Jorinde van Klinken also recorded a victory in the shot. The 17.91m throw was short of her season-best 18.88m from Jan. 29 that's still sitting second in the NCAA.

Second-year Devil Dylan James moved up a spot on ASU's all-time triple jump list with his 15.70m/51-6.25 winning leap. He was ninth in program history, but now he's sitting in eighth.

Sun Devils close out the Pac-12 Invitational with a HUGE finish int he men's 4x400! ASU wins in 3:05.68, a new facility record! ??

It tentatively sits 18th in the country too ??????

On the track, Jamar Marshall Jr. ran a 7.79 in the 60H finals to win the race and flirt with his program-best 7.59 and season's best 7.67. He's comfortably tied for ninth in the NCAA and should qualify for the national meet.

Justin Robinson won the 400m 46.28 and freshman Adriana Tatum took the 200m in 23.89. As fast as they both were for the first-year Sun Devils, they don't improve in their already top-5 all-time times.

The NCAA Championships run March 11-12 on the campus of University of Alabama-Birmingham.
