TEMPE - Head coach Dion Miller and the Sun Devil Track and Field program are set for the 2023 seasons. This year's schedule includes seven regular-season indoor meets and six outdoor meets. Northern Arizona's Axe 'Em Open kicks off the year on January 13.
2022-23 Sun Devil Track and Field Schedule
ASU is coming off a strong 2022 campaign that saw 12 Sun Devils earn All-America honors. The Maroon and Gold earned a pair of Pac-12 titles, and both Jorinde van Klinken, who has since transferred to Oregon, and Turner Washington repeated as CoSIDA Academic All-Americans and CoSIDA Academic All-America Team Members of the Year. ASU's women finished eighth at the NCAA Outdoor Championships while the men finished 15th. Washington defended his NCAA Indoor title, while Adriana Tatum was the second-fastest freshman 200m sprinter in the NCAA (22.77) and nearly took the program record. Fellow freshman Dayton Carlson shattered ASU's 800m record (1:46.72). In total, ASU put seven on the podium at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

The Sun Devils had some turnover on the coaching staff in 2022. Coach Miller is now assisted by Shannon Hatchett (women's sprints), Phillip Butler Jr. (jumps.multis), program legend Ryan Whiting (throws), Ryan Ray (distance), and long-time pole vault assistant Ron Barela.

The program also added top talent across the board with the additions of Jada Campos (11.52 100m, 23.65 200m), Jai Gruenwald (7.80 60m, 8.87 60H), Sadie Heeringa (three-time NCAA DIII Championships qualifier), Kiara Lee (8.11 60m, 12.81m/42-0.5 TJ), Trevin Moyer (No. 1 in North Carolina for the 400m, 300m, and 500m (1:05.31, state meet record), and 6.25 55m is a state meet record), and Quinton Patterson (23-11.25 LJ, 45-6.5 TJ).
