Quotes
Co-Head Coach Jay Santos

Opening Statement
"We certainly did not start the way we wanted to, but I love the fight that the team showed. They never lost their energy, never lost their fight, even with the mistake on the beam and coming back and being able to finish the beam strong and finishing floor so we could hang on. That's positive, the fact they were able to finish the meet and get out with the score and the win. From there, we have to get rid of the mistakes, we have to clean up, we have to execute."

On confidence going into next meet against Oregon State
"We got the floor going with the home crowd and the 942 Crew, too, and had some fun and excitement there. They finished the meet well, so I hope they can take that as a positive and they didn't just fall apart and crumble and just throw it away. I hope they can take some of that positivity, but going into Oregon State with as strong as a team as they are up there, we need to be much more sharp than we were today."

On performing well across all rotations
"Individually you've done all four and individually you've hit all four. But we have yet to do it in one meet, so we've got to go start to finish and we've just got to be able to keep that mindset and focus ready and just be able to put the whole thing together."

Junior Hannah Scharf
On the team's mindset after today

"I think we definitely did not put up our best routines we had wanted. I think we are really fired up about it and getting back into the gym and getting ready for next week. But it's always great to get a win. It was a bit of a confidence booster for us and we are excited to get the ball rolling and show what we have. Oregon (State) is not going to be easy and we know that, but I think we are looking forward to the challenge."

On how she's staying consistently in the gym
"There were definitely nerves, but I just wanted to stick to what I was doing in training. I've been working on my mental game a lot the last couple weeks and that really showed today."
