Freshman Preston Summerhays has a 71.05 stroke average in 19 rounds.

The ASU men's golf team will play in the 32nd Annual Duck Invitational at Eugene Country Club March 21-22, hosted by the University of Oregon. The Sun Devils will try to improve their scores from the CABO COLLEGIATE, in which they couldn't overcome a first tough day, but saw improvements in the next ones.

LINEUP
ASU will go with Preston Summerhays, Mason Andersen, Cameron Sisk, Ryggs Johnston and Josele Ballester. James Leow, David Puig and Gabe Salvanera will play as individuals in the 91-player field.

THE 14-TEAM FIELD
ASU, who's currently ranked No. 3 by Golfstat, will be joined by Oregon as host, No. 8 Washington, Boise State, Cal Poly, Grand Canyon, Idaho, Loyola Marymount, Oregon State, Pacific, San Jose State, Santa Clara, Seattle and Utah.

FIRST APPEARANCE SINCE 2015, HOPING TO BRING BACK TITLE
The Sun Devils did not take part in the Duck Invitational in the past few years, but the last time they did (in 2015), they returned to Tempe with the trophy. That year, ASU came into the tournament ranked sixth in the country. They were led by Jon Rahm, current top golfer in the world, who grabbed his second individual title of the season after finishing 4-under par with a total of 212 strokes (71-71-70).

LEARNINGS FROM CABO
ASU had a rough start in the CABO COLLEGIATE, which made things difficult for them, as they entered the final round at 2-over despite improving 20 strokes after the first round. However, the Sun Devils fought back and ended the tournament 12-under 840 after a 14-under performance in the final round. In this effort, they were led by freshman Preston Summerhays, who shot 7-under 206 (72-68-66). Another solid performance came from Mason Andersen, who led the way in the previous rounds with 5-under 71, and recorded a 68 (3-under) in the final round.
