FEEL GOOD FOR THE FAM: Sun Devil head coach Matt Thurmond can be proud of his former Washington assistants making their marks at programs with noteworthy 2020-21 seasons as they all head to regional play. Oregon State under John Reehoorn is in a regional for just the second time in the past seven chances and its sixth-place Pac-12 finish matched its best in past eight while Garrett Clegg at Utah led his program to a regional for the first time since 1992. Outside the Pac-12 Michael Wilson at Long Beach State won its first conference title since 2004, is making its first regional appearance since 2012 and just its fourth overall while Dan Potter at Boise State is taking the Broncos to regionals for the first time since 1994 and just second time overall.
SUN DEVIL REGIONAL HISTORY
With the team victory and Jon Rahm's title at the 2016 Albuquerque Regional, ASU has won or tied for a NCAA regional title seven times. ASU tied with Arizona in 1991 and tied with New Mexico in 1998. It won the title outright in 1995, 1999, 2001 2009 and 2016. In addition to Rahm's two titles (2015 as well), Sun Devil Paul Casey won a 1998 individual regional title outright followed by Jeff Quinney (1999), Benjamin Alvarado Holley (2007) and then Jesper Kennegard in 2009. Matt Jones shared medalist honors in 2001.

2019 REGIONAL AT STANFORD: The Sun Devil Men's Golf team took care of business at the 2019 Stanford Regional, qualifying for the 2019 NCAA Men's Golf Championship after finishing tied for second as a team. It was the fifth consecutive year the program has advanced to the National Championship, the previous three coming under 2019 Pac-12 Coach of the Year Matt Thurmond. After being on the outside looking-in following the completion of the first found, the Sun Devils turned it on and proved why they were awarded a No. 1 national seed. They put together the second-lowest round of the day during each of the final two days, finishing behind only host Stanford, who took home the team Regional title.
