Big announcement today.
A Sun Devil said he was coming back for some unfinished college basketball business.
Except it feels like it was more than one player.
The top returning scorer in the Pac-12? Yes, he is back.
One of the top candidates for National Player of the Year? He is back in maroon and gold.
A player who led the team in road scoring last year, when every bucket is needed? Yes, he is back too.
Don't. Upset. ?????? ????????.

Remy was playing with ill intent in yesterday's 2nd Half...

The guy who was the top assist man in Pac-12 play two years ago at more than six per game? Back in a Sun Devil uniform in 2020-21.
The freshmen who dropped 21 – including 14 in a 58-point second half -- at No. 2 Kansas in his eighth college game to lead ASU to its biggest non-conference win in history (until it beat No. 1 Kansas one year later)? Yes, he is back.
The point guard who has averaged 27.3 points in ASU's three wins over Arizona in the last four matchups? Back for more rivalry games.
Remy Martin scored 8 of ASU's 12 overtime points in this win over UA. So many highlight games for him to date as a Sun Devil, but this has to be in the Top-5. https://t.co/vMQNq6mkEU

The fan favorite? The preseason Pac-12 Player of the Year favorite? The guy you love to watch in the arena or on the TV? Yes. Yes. Yes. All back.
All back in one uniform.
"I'm blessed to have the opportunity to coach Remy Martin for one more season," says Sun Devil head coach Bobby Hurley. "Remy will be one of the best players in college basketball this year and will be on a mission to lead Arizona State basketball in its pursuit of championships."
Hitting game winners with his whole country behind him. ??????

You want progression from a player, Remy is exhibit A. First season he understood his role and earned Pac-12 Sixth Man of the Year.
Second year he moved into the starting lineup and led an athletic bunch that lost three senior guards but was adding two eventual NBA players as first-year Sun Devils (Lu Dort and Zylan Cheatham). So what did Remy do? Earned second-team honors while leading the Pac-12 in assists in conference games at 6.2 per game.

Last season was full of fun, energy and production with everyone knowing the best was on the way in March. He earned first-team All-Pac-12 honors while leading ASU to seven straight Pac-12 wins, its most since 1980-81. He averaged 19.1 points per game (second in the league) and had eight 20-point games in the true road games.
TOP RETURNING PAC-12 SCORERS
19.1 -- Remy Martin, ASU
17.5 -- Matt Bradley, Cal
17.3 – Timmy Allen, Utah
15.7 – Oscar da Silva, Stanford
15.3 – Isaac Bonton, Washington State
14.8 – Ethan Thompson, Oregon State
14.6 – Alonzo Verge Jr., ASU
Next up? Win. Climb the ASU career charts. Beat more ranked teams. Protect Desert Financial Arena. Make the NCAAs again? Hang a banner? Cut down a net?
With Remy back ready to lead a talented team that will be a preseason top-25 team and perhaps the Pac-12 favorite, no goal is too high.
Remy Martin is going back to Arizona State. Sun Devils might be the PAC-12 favorites and Martin is likely preseason Player of the Year in the league. https://t.co/7WQIijqJe4
