SEATTLE – Arizona State earned four top-three finishes on the final day at the MPSF Championships at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle.
Similar to day one, the Sun Devils got on the board early through a great showing in another throwing event.
Redshirt junior Samantha Noennig won the third MPSF honor of her illustrious indoor career after notching a second-place finish at shot put as she recorded a mark of 16.75m/54-11.50 feet.
Christina Warren added six more points to the team score as she worked her way to another top-three finish for the women, scoring on a mark of 12.61m/41-04.50 at triple jump.
The first men's points of the afternoon came in an impressive outing on the track, as Kentre Patterson notched the men's first top-three finish of the day in the 60-meter hurdles with a mark of 7.94. The finish would include Patterson's first indoor conference honor of his career.
Turner Washington and Ian Schulz scored 10 more team points after finishing third and fifth, respectively in shot put. The top-three finish notches Washington's first MPSF honor of his career, while Schulz also saw his first conference honor as a Sun Devil.
In the men's 3000 meters, Junior Jackson Lewis clocked a personal best 8:03.16 to finish fourth in the event.
The Sun Devils finished eighth overall in the men's 4x4 in 3:17.05. Ethan Wright, Antonio Mitchell II, Jalen Drayden and Marcus Reaves secured the point for ASU.
After all the events were finished, the Sun Devil women finished ninth with 44 points, while the men took 10th with 43 points.
The final event of the indoor season will take place in Albuquerque, New Mexico for the NCAA Indoor Championships, spanning from March 13-14.
