TEMPE, Ariz. – Reili Richardson (21 points) and Sara Bejedi (16 points) both posted career highs in scoring to help the Arizona State women's basketball team to a 84-47 win over New Mexico on Saturday.
Richardson, who knocked down a career-high five 3-pointers, added four assists and moved past former Sun Devil Elisha Davis for second place on ASU's career assists list.
Ja'Tavia Tapley (12 points, 12 rebounds) recorded her third-straight double-double while Kiara Russell grabbed a career-high eight rebounds to go with a season-high five assists for the Sun Devils, who won their fourth consecutive game.
Seven Sun Devils scored five or more points in the contest with Jayde Van Hyfte (eight points, six rebounds, career-high three steals), Eboni Walker (eight points, six rebounds), Russell (six points) and Sydnei Caldwell (five points), joining the aforementioned trio.
The Sun Devils (8-2) more than doubled the Lobos (7-4) in points in the second half, outscoring them 52-24 to break open what was a nine-point game at the half. ASU shot 56 percent in the second half and kept the Lobos to just 35 percent. The Sun Devils, who outrebounded New Mexico 57-25, hit a season-high 10 3-pointers while not allowing the Lobos to make a single shot from beyond the arc (0-18).
